Fruit Orchards

Do you have them?

I chopped down the orchard near my house a couple days ago. It was annoying to walk through and my villagers liked to go through it >_> So I am building a park there now. So I just made a new orchard on the other side of the river. While planting fruit I wondered if maybe it was a waste?

Cons: I have plenty of fruit trees randomly around town; It's a large waste of land which could be used for PWP; It doesn't seem to yield much income for the labor (especially when there's the island); And it's difficult to see/walk in that area.

So now I'm starting to this I shouldn't have bothered rebuilding it T_T I could understand a perfect fruit only orchard however, and might do that.

Just wondering if you all think it's worth it to build an orchard or how do you plant your fruit trees?

I have a lot of orchards because I love trees. o-o I have like... 2 perfect apple orchards and one gigantic foreign fruit orchard right now.

I have a little row with all the fruit types, and I'm thinking of maybe making a small Perfect Orange and Persimmon orchard behind my house. Like you said, because of the island, it's not really worth it for the money. I'd only plant one if it looked nice, but I already have so many ideas that I don't think I'd have the space.

The way that my river cuts through my town makes it so there's a tiny little area by the railroad that's too small to do anything useful with, so I've just turned it into a foreign fruit tree orchard. I thought that would be a nice way to make use of somewhat dead space. At least until my villagers suggest PWPs that could fit there.

Did the same thing with my spot near the railroad. But with how Isabelle can get picky with where things go I probably won't be able to put any PWP there.

I have a little spot in my town that juts out between the railroad and the lake. It's not easy to put much there, so I store fruit trees there. I have others scattered about the town for spares but mostly I just deal with the orchard.
