🐇 Frith Isle, a New Beginning. 🐇

hello! and welcome to my ACNH diary!

this thread will be a little 'for funsies' project of mine that i always wanted to do. and at least
here, i can share it with others! i loved the idea of making a diary of sorts for my island, so now it's my turn!
here's some tidbits.

this is a 'hard' run, if you could call it that? i did NOT bring any items or bells over with me when i
reset my island. not a single thing. everything i obtain here will be properly earned! i will most likely
be using here and nookazon to do my trading. i am banning myself from using order bots and treasure
islands. selling turnips is fair game, and i am allowed to time travel one day at a time.

so, with that all in mind, below will be details on how my first day on frith isle went!

DAY ONE.

greeted by the cute faces of the nooklings, i begin my new journey.
i have had new horizons since the midnight it dropped. and according to my switch,
i have logged 360 hours! i have restarted a good few times, but the only time i truly regretted
doing so was when i reset my FIRST island. it was the first time i had played animal
crossing day by day instead of time traveling.

the map i chose isn't my ideal 'perfect' layout. ideally, i like having the
walk in line up in the center with my resident services building. but! this will do!
and when i step out of my plane ride in, i am greeted with two lovely neighbors!

i never had faith before, and hamlet is one of my favorite hamsters. so! i had
zero issues with these two relaxing on frith isle for the time being. i DO have a list
of villagers i plan on moving in via cards, but i will leave those a mystery for now!

i found myself the perfect little spot by the beach! as for the other two, i let them keep
the spaces they chose themselves. why not?

frith isle! i was delighted this name fit. it IS in reference to something, partially.
and if i had a backup switch, i would totally make this but with all rabbit villagers,
hint hint.

but for now, we take a little nap. nook wakes us the next day, and i get to work
grinding out those initial 5000 nook miles to get us in a house on day 2. it felt like it went
by super duper fast this time around!

even with this done, we still have one main goal for day 1. and that! is to get
blathers set up with a plot! and i do just that, running up and down the beaches to catch
fish to turn in to tom nook.

i also stopped along the way to put together a little friend!

with blathers' tent set up, i do a few little chores, i de-weeded the entire section of the
island that i currently have access to. might as well do it now than later all at once!
i also catch a few bugs and fish to stack beside the soon to be tent.

i really should pull up a checklist for critters so i can try to get everything in this month!
i also got enough nook miles to go ahead and give me the better tools recipes and the
tool wheel!

with that, night descends upon frith isle.
the following days will be busy!

DAY TWO.

tom nook greets me with the morning announcements! frith isle airport is now open!
i fully intended to do a very small villager hunt today, but alas. i am a bit broke when
it comes to nook miles. the main goal with those now is to save up for when the final
inventory expansion is available!

with the free ticket from tom and one i bought myself, i set out to find a lovely face
worthy of frith isle!

first was bettina. she's cute, but not quite what i had in mind. i gathered all i could from
the island and skedaddled onto the second one!

annabelle is ALSO cute! but i currently have her in city folk. not wanting to double up
on a villager, i wave bye bye to her as well. looks like my soon to be made furnished
plots will be up to RNG! that always is a little exciting.

but the biggest thing for today was!

material gathering for the soon to be shop! getting the wood on my own island was easy
enough, but i did have to use those two nook miles tickets either to get all the iron i would
need for this little venture.

the next thing to do was spend some time gathering up the local bug and fish
population. blathers is here, and he requires 15 new species to be shown! it took a little
bit of effort, but that too would be swiftly dealt with!

here's some aftermath of me trying to find out where the heck a mole cricket
was. i proceeded to fail getting it once i DID dig it up because i accidentally
covered the hole it popped out on, making it despawn .......

don't let that smiling face fool you!

with all big tasks done for the day, i made a new snowboy to round off my
play session. nailed it! again!

DAY THREE.

big big news! the construction for the museum begins and the new shop
is open and ready! as exciting as the news is, there is PLENTY to get done
today!

he informs me that he promised three new potential residents fully furnished homes.
thankfully, i had done a good bit of resource gathering for this little task. i was
crafting stuff with fingers crossed that i didn't need to do another gathering break.

but before i did that, i NEEDED to change my hairstyle. it felt too. smooth? for
me? if that makes any lick of sense to ya'll.

i definitely need to redo my eyebrows now that they are. y'know.
actually visible? but that's just what i needed! i also did myself a favor and got
the next pocket expansion i had access to. perfect for toting around all those
materials in!

we also got to place a bridge! i slapped that leading over to the leftmost
clump of land, where the three new plots are! i will leave who autofilled a mystery for now!
i am pretty pleased with how i got to place them, but i get the feeling i may
wind up moving them later when i eventually make a neighborhood area.

just who i was hoping to see! mabel will be popping by the island for a little bit!
thank goodness. these default clothes i was given are okay, but i would love something better.
and as i finished up my work and rounds around frith isle, i stumbled upon a familiar
bird! i helped him out. he's too cute to ignore!

after giving him the communication parts he needed, i ended off my play session.
i am VERY eager to see this island liven up!

DAY FOUR.

sorry for the lack of posting! i am a bit of an absolute fool and have issues being
motivated! i have still actively been taking screenshots and i am MUCH further
than this now. but time to play catch up, shall we?

tom nook said he has a new workshop for me to attend! a little bit of customization
will go a long way, when i actually have the furniture to spruce up the place with.

mabel was awfully quick about showing up after we saw her the other day. i was
more than glad to see her! in the first picture, you can tell i had a bit of a wardrobe
change. nothing too wild yet, but something that WASN'T the default clothes.

the museum is now properly up and running! thank goodness.
this pile was beginning to grow a bit concerning. and as you can see, i
managed to land a sturgeon!

say hello to one of our new neighbors that came to us via autofill! i don't mind
simon. the monkey/ape villagers aren't my favorite, but he's a silly lil' guy.

day four was a bit of a short one! but more is (hopefully) on the way!​
