Hey everyone! I was just made aware of this great deal that Toys R Us is doing this week.

If you buy Galaxy on Tuesday (has to be Tuesday) you will get a $25 gift card to TRU. If you buy Galaxy on Tuesday and purchase $25 of other product on top of that, you will get another $10 making it a $35 gift card. I verified this with a phone call to my local TRU.

THEN, on Sunday the 18th, Toys R Us is doing a one day only Buy 2 Get 1 Free on all Wii games. This is in honor of the 1 year anniversary for Wii. The lady who I spoke to said she had not heard this one, but the person I heard it from has been very reliable with these Buy 2 Get 1 deals.

So essentially, you could get $200 (4) worth of Wii games for $125 this week.

$50 for Galaxy +
$100 on 2 games + 1 Free minus $25 gift card =
$125

I really don't think so. I believe it was for instore only on the $25 gift card. The Buy2Get1Free may work online though.

Man I wasn't really planning on getting any games to save some money, but the buy 2 get 1 deal is calling me ... now I just have to remember about it come Sunday! Better set up a reminder. I suspect Guitar Hero III isn't available as the free one.

Yeah, the buy 2 get 1 free will most likely work online, like the previous ones. What I find amazing is the fact that this will be the third time in 2-3 months that TRU is doing this kind of sale. Unfortunately, I only took advantage of the first one, since there weren't enough games that I wanted (at a similar price) to get a good deal. And at that time, Phantom Hourglass hadn't come out yet. T_T

As for the gift card that they're giving away with SMG, I'm pretty sure they'll only have like 20 games in store for that (something like an early "black friday"). They're explicitly saying that you need to go on Tuesday at 5pm, and checking the ads on TRU's website, it says that there is a limited quantity. I'm pretty sure the stores will be full of people trying to take advantage of that offer, so you'll probably want to go early.

The manager there said he didn't know about the Buy 2 Get 1 deal, but that it didn't mean it wasn't going to happen. He said that sometimes they don't find out til the day before on certain things like that.

That's too bad. I heard that some people were able to get the coin, even without pre-ordering.
