I'm needing one for my laptop so I can record games and things I do on here.
I used to have Bandicam but it disappeared so thought I'd ask if anyone knew of a better one, or if Bandi would be good to reinstall.

Thanks!

If you have an Nvidia Graphic card, Geforce Shadowplay is a great recorder that doesn't kill framerate. Only problem is that it doesn't support all the games. I believe AMD cards also provide a recording software. I'd use that. MSI AfterBurner is another great recorder. I know someone who uses Razor's Game booster as a recording software. OBS is a great recorder for 720p videos that doesn't kill fps either.

I've used Bandicam before, and I liked it! Thou, since Geforce shadowplay, OBS, and MSI AfterBurner are always open, I tend to favor those more.

Do all the ones you listed need cards? xD I currently have none. Not getting into any serious stuff atm, like for YT or anything, so currently just looking for a quick download/install to record a couple games ^^
I'll keep those in mind though for once I've practiced a bit and wanna start up some YT vids!

Hmm... I was thinking about that too while I was doing homework. I realized that. Then, I would strongly suggest staying with Bandicam. Give OBS a try, thou! My girlfriend uses it to record games on her desktop that doesn't have a graphic card.

Also, steam sells recording software, so you want to read about them on their site. Since the steam sales are this Thursday, you might be able to grab a great recording software for a great price! Softwares tend to be cheap during steam sales!

Awesome. Thanks guys!
I'll shall keep all those in mind and start off with Bandicam again ^^

OBS. It's free, and amazing. I'm serious, don't use anything else.

Unless you eventually attain the means to get an X-Split license.

You can use OBS to stream and capture footage, from your computer or you capture card. I use OBS to stream, you can also check out my Youtube to see capture quality.
