Fourth character

Right now I have 3 characters in my town, the mayor and 2 side-characters. I really want another side character, but I can't really do that yet, because if I have another I can't do the plot reset thing - which I reaaally do - so I'm thinkin about getting the last character after I've gotten all my dreamies to move in and stuff..

But how did you do it? Do you have 4 characters, did you do it right away or did you wait till you felt like you had the houses in the right places and stuff.. im unsure

I have a fourth character in mind but I'm not going to make him until I've finished plot resetting all my dreamies.

I let family members make the extra characters in my town, makes it a fun thing to share. but now they bought cartridges and want to move their characters' houses to start new towns. they be abandoning me!!

I made a character with the sole purpose of getting villagers out quicker, since they all changed their mind when I only had my Mayor. There are a few I want to hang on to for now but when I decide I no longer want them, I will probably created another character. So far I haven't found any must-have villagers.

I have three characters at the moment but will probably not have a fourth... I like to switch up my villagers occasionally so will always need the spare character for plot resetting... I don't really have another character in mind either, so it's not too big of a deal right now.

You should wait. You'll regret it if you build up thier house then have to demo it and move. I wish I had waited, but I was so excited I just created them all in the same day and now I wished I put thier houses a little more spread out around town. I didn't think about being able to put an ABD in thier homes, so I could have put one of thier homes closer to the Re-tail. Now I've put so much into the houses that I can't change them it'd be to heartbreaking to build it up again.

I got my four charecters straight away (I no longer have them) as I wanted to use them for more storage and for holding patterns.
I think you should wait a bit and do what you want to do with your town/house/villagers. I'm not very good at forward planning and it's let me down quite a bit with this game in regards to projects and layout.
Figure out what you're going to do first and then take it from there

I think I'll wait untill I have placed all the villagers down where I want them, then make the last character, I want her for storage but mostly patterns heh

I have two characters, my main and a side for storage. I find it difficult with space as the house plots are so large

i have 3 characters in both my towns. i don't know if i want a 4th character in any of the towns because designing their houses is a pain haahaha..,,,,,

I don't plot reset :3 but I didn't make any side characters until recently because I wanted to have my mayor's house exactly the way I wanted it before I moved on to decorating and expanding another one. I made my second character after more than a year and a half of playing on just my mayor, waited a month, then made my third and fourth characters about a week apart. I like having all four characters now because I get to earn more badges (which I reaaaally like), and I have more room to make custom designs (another thing I really like). My town feels a lot fuller, too, with all four characters

I never use a 4th character in my towns because I've had villagers move out unexpectedly and would be upset if I had to delete a character just to plot reset.
