Found a trick for getting Joan to stay longer!

"You can keep Joan in your town past noon on Sunday if you stay outside. If you save, enter a building, or a tournament starts, she will leave."

I've discovered it also applies in New Leaf; as long as one person is outside, Joan will stick around. It's now 12:36 and my friend and I have been taking turns staying outside while the other runs back to unload their turnips and get more bells, and Joan's still happily running around outside. So yeah, just thought it might be useful for some of you late-sleepers (like me). ^_^

I'm afraid it won't work, sorry. D: She came over before noon so now if you come the game will save and Joan will disappear. I'm sure she'll vanish when my friend goes home too, unfortunately.

Riight. Phooey. I was going to buy 100,000 bells worth of turnips :3 Ah well..
