Right now I've only kept one of my villages open. It started out as a "whatever" town but has become developed. I'm very fond of fall/winter seasons and about to hit the New Year. Is it better to go back to say October 1, 2014 or go to 2015? Does changing a year mess things up? I'm not overly concerned about any villagers although I generally make them stay if they ask to move. All you TTers have any suggestions? Thanks.

I would go backwards. Going huge gaps forward can seriously mess with things, where as no matter how far back you go, the game acts like going one day forward in terms of the side effects.

Changing it forward will progress your town that much time forward. However, changing it any amount of time backwards will make your town only progress one day forward. I think. So if you change it back to last October, your town will act as if it is tomorrow.

Greatly appreciate the replies. Backwards it will be. Living in virtual snow sure beats heat of 100+ degrees!!
