Forest town ideas

Hello there! I've finally decided on a theme for my town. Since I'm getting all the deer villagers, I thought it would be fitting to do a forest theme! So, if you guys have any ideas, pictures, dream adresses etc. that could provide any kind of inspiration for a forest town, I would be most grateful! I suck at landscaping and right now I have no idea how or where to start~ Thank you in advance!

I'm making an all-deer forest town too! I'm not landscaping until I get all of them, but so far here are my plans:
-All my deer are below the river to represent wandering deep into the forest and finding wildlife
-Lots of fruit orchards(I have apples which are perfect!) and cedar trees
-A TON of natural and wild flowers(not sure how I'll organize them but I just know that I'll need a lot...lol)
-Nature-related PWPs like the flower clock, picnic, etc

I'm doing a similar thing, but I want mine to seem more sub-arctic.
But, I'm going to use a lot of cedar saplings for it because the forests are mostly made of trees similar to that.
You're going to need a lot of trees and flowers. You can use the sweet-olive bushes for borders to the paths you want, because they aren't as floral so it wont look too tacky.
Avoid hibiscus starts.

You should use a lot of cedar saplings, that should give off the fores feel. If you're going with something more fantasy then yiu should maybe be more oriented toward the landscaping being colorful, but if you're trying to base off of a real life forest then I advise against using flowers/hybrids generously all around the area.

I think the characters house should be cabin themed. I visited an adorable town that had a little house on the prairie themed house.My Critters town has a forest area with Smokey The Bear as the ranger.

This kind of thing for a path (~ ~) would look quite natural and 'woodlandy', of course you don't have to use it, I can't wait to see what your town will look like when it's complete!

I was totally thinking something like that too! Definitely the clovers since it's a nice challenge to gather that many, but the occasionally rock would blend in nicely too!

Ok, there is this town I visited in a dream a while back and I think it goes a little with your theme. Now I don't think the paths will fit with your theme, but the landscaping is beautiful. You could get some inspiration from this town. The code is 2800-1841-9922It's called Lion Village.

I was totally thinking something like that too! Definitely the clovers since it's a nice challenge to gather that many, but the occasionally rock would blend in nicely too!

You can visit my town if you want? I used a clovers and stone path just like Rae did (I made my own stone, but it looks mostly the same), and my town ended up pretty foresty. The DA is in my signature.

For other ideas, I'd say you definitely need to use the log bench PWP. It's very natural c:
Also hydrangea starts look good with cedar trees since they're the same shade of green.
