^ It's called tax. UK's got the highest VAT in Europe, I think. US is really weird about VAT (by everyone else's standards) - some states not having it at all, some having a tiny amount, everyone putting tax on AFTER the purchase price. Here it's already factored in to the price and because the rate is so high it puts all the prices up.

Even so it doesn't excuse the standard trick of charging us 200 pounds for the item that's going for 200 dollars in the US, and then going LOOK IT'S THE SAME PRICE GOOD DEAL LOL. I need a new laptop, so I've been looking around and yes I mad.

Forgot the UK includes tax with price.
But tax in USA can greatly vary... Where I live is 7%, but the closest city is 6%, but I think the highest I have been to is I think 16%-ish... some area where my cousin lives... and if you go not even 15miles away 9%.

Also, if you buy things online, that are out of state shipped to your state, you normally don't pay the sales tax.
Something I learned while working at a college bookstore.
Sales tax laws are weird here.

But still doesn't really count for 3DS games being, highest I've seen, $36 where other portable PS Vita is $40.

I just picked up a second copy for myself from CEX, which is a brand of used media stores here in the UK. There they were selling a used copy for ?25.

Yeah, CEX is great! I got my second copy from there, I'm concidering getting a third as a baby-sitting service to work with Jesusfreakette and befriend every villager in the game (receive pics) and then have final villagers... I'm still not sure tho, I wont until ive finished cycling in Paradiso, and moved my last dreamie into Sakura so I can stop cycling... then I think I might be able to get another
