Thank you for doing this. Looking at the numbers, there is definitely a stark drop-off in terms of furniture variation. A lot of people had been suspecting as much, but this kinda puts it out there in black and white. I hope they roll out some updates, like a possible Gracie update. Maybe she comes to your island once it hits 5 stars, is unimpressed, and gives you the option to complete a task to earn a piece of Gracie furniture (or a DIY to make it yourself with customization options would be cool)

I'm also really hoping they add more furniture soon, I've been really feeling the lack of furniture, especially tables..
I do also hope they do not bring back balloon furniture. I'm so happy they didn't add it in this game!

also speaking of which: any chances the mermaid set could potentially be the shell set now? it's a bit of stretch, but it seems to be the closest we have and from what i remember the mermaid set did have a lot of shells and sea-related things incorporated in its design.

I had thought of that as a possibility as well, but yea, thought maybe it was too much of a stretch. Even comparing the Ice set to the Frozen series though is a stretch so it could be the new mermaid series. I hope not though, because the previous mermaid series was super pretty and magical.

and holy crap, I didn't realise just how much stuff was added in Welcome Amiibo. I thought it was mainly just splatoon and monster hunter stuff but apparently they like doubled the game's content with that update. that makes me hopeful for the future of NH as it shows that the devs clearly aren't shy to give us masses of content via updates

Yea, Interestingly enough, I found a lot of items that are in NH were introduced in the Welcome Amiibo update. That has me curious now to go back through the items again to see what the origins are of the items we got. xD

Also: there are only TWO bookshelves but there's SEVEN varieties of toilets?? No wonder I can't find anything to put in my library
