Just curious, do you leave your town at nine so you can take in campers, I know some who take all in if have room and some who take certain ones. Am trying over next few weeks to learn the little tips. I know there was a thread a while back on the best methods without ending up far ahead of time and for constant renewals, it is still a little ways off but I know there are different methods for if you might want to hold someone than quick cycling to where you can't tell them no as are boxed already. There is probably a thread on the non camper part but there has been so much new activity I think it got buried.

Personally I don't even bother with the tent anymore. When I was slow cycling I did, I also used to reset for villagers when I could predict what personality type would move in (not the last personality to move out and that wasn't already in town) but now that I've started to quick cycle I don't even check my tent anymore. I don't mind getting way ahead of time though so that's why I started quick cycling. It just stays at 9, even if I streetpass I've always got one in boxes and one new one but never more than 9. So far it has worked out well but it all depends on your situation

I leave my town at 9 because it's faster that way (constantly keeping it at 10 would mean taking in a new villager each time someone moved out.) Of course this also helps me adopt campers if any good ones stop by my town.

When I cycle, it's quick cycling so I don't even bother with 10. I couldn't if I wanted to, my Mayor is in a tent still xD

Just wanna get all the questions out there way in advance on this from the new and old cycling community. BTW If anyone has that link to the cycling methods for quick versus slow let me know, am writing everything down. Methods, good rules to have, any advice given on prep, and how to quick start when ready. So the questions:

I still have some of my own last dreams to get but it takes forever sometimes, anyone keep certain villagers for themselves the first time they come around? I think I have seen this,as reserved for self, until can move them into their town. I guess if you had any you wanted to keep at all even a mainstay if you wanted to build up the town at all and not just have it weedy, I have seen some pretty cycle towns, you would slow cycle...or I guess you don't have to. I just need to write down the methods as I think I would like it to be fairly quick and figure out which works best. As far as villagers though, have you ever decided to keep one to move to your main town, or even have a perma villager there or do you not talk to them at all? I know some play the town and build it and others don't at all. I guess everyone is different, I'd like to fast cycle, but I know I may come across one that I'd like to move to main likely near the start.Quick cycle sounds easiest I need to review it, but would like to do the version where you can hop back to normal date or year at least.

I guess it will be trial and error with methods, but anyone put time into the town? And as for threads themselves: how many keep lurker lists anymore, is it easier to keep it to who is currently in town? Other than that, just any little tips, or things you have found while doing this starting out to keep it from sinking. I like to be really prepared for anything so it goes smooth, fast, efficient, and am in the writing down best methods and rules to remember to put in but not too many, and deciding on pricing, I think t ones would have thier own thread and 4 and 5 are usually free though lately I have seen a lot of reserve fees and even pricing higher on low tiers. Some can do all free but I am not at that point with IGB with the top tiers anyway.

So...Basically any little advice about how you play your cycle for those starting out, things to remember to put in the short rules. I have seen some good models from some fairly new cyclers, but don't remember who they were to go looking. And am sure those who have been doing it a while may have developed some actual town, not thread, habits. So I guess it's a cycling experience FAQ for you guys...lol. Not a bad idea, if someone wanted to do a cycling town FAQ with multi contributors like a guide with little tips but any little advice on these few things. So to sum up: If you keep any villagers on reserve for self, how much time put into town, any perma villagers, cycle method, must have thread rules, and unexpected things to plan for and that's about it. Thanks guys.
