Flowers

My flowers seem to be multiplying rapidly, mainly due to villagers planting more despite not having the beautiful town ordinance. How have people kept them under control whilst also maximising hybrid production efficiency?

I've been destroying any unwanted flowers and trying to section the rest off into groups whilst allowing the hybrids to have the most open space. My villagers have a thing about planting red and yellow pansies at the moment so I'm forced to keep checking on them/

I have my hybrids in the following format:

x being the hybrid.

I'll take anyones unwanted flowers off their hands! I have been desperately trying to acquire flowers any way I can for my paths but can only seem to get like 20 a day. I still have the other half of my town to do lol. To read that they are being destroyed makes me cringe a little!!!

I haven't got many hybrids yet, just seem to keep getting normal flowers. I wonder if using your layout with those would work. I shall test it, I think. Thank you.

Make sure to water them every day, even with the beautiful ordinance in place.

I found that it took a few days for two of the same colour to pop up, but as soon as they did I kept them like that and watered them every day and now I'm being over run by pink flowers.

If you need to control your hybrids, you should move some operations to the beach. Any flowers that I need to make sure are certain flowers to produce hybrids are on the beach (mostly roses). For my other hybrids, I use the villagers houses as "gardens" so they are kept separate. It helps me identify when there are flowers in the wrong spot. Some villagers are particularly annoying and will plant potential hybrid colors near a garden (like when you want 2nd gen red pansy/rose and they plant a 1st gen red -- so annoying). They won't plant anything on the beach, however. Also, I notice that once you get 3 of any particular hybrid, they will start to grow like crazy. Beautiful town ordinance helps, but you have to water the hybrids every day.

I do, it just gets so tedious after doing it for like an hour lol and its boring when I'm alone

I have alot of flowers but for some reason none of my hybrids have worked that I've planted >_<

You just have to keep pulling out the flowers that the villagers plant.
