Flowers not breeding?

Does anyone else have a problem with purple pansies never producing another purple pansy? I've gotten multiple blue roses from only two, but I have four purple pansies that never produce another purple pansy.

Do I have to put it next to another color? Are these specific ones bugged, and I have to go get another 4?

Try to just have two diagonal like half of the four you have now and then just water those for a day and see. I dont know if this will work or if you have tried already but best of luck!

I've heard that you have to only water a certain amount of flowers at a time. and in my town the same thing oddly happens.

if I water all the flowers in my town, I get very little to no flower growth (I also have the beautiful town ordinance btw)
But if I only water my blue roses, then I'll get another blue rose the next day.

It's odd I know. lol
Also using fertilizer really helps!

try to put em next to eachother and water them, and also bury fertilizer near em
