Flowers disappeared, without a trace!

So yesterday I was playing online with people in my town, on 2 different occasions. Now, I know you're probably thinking 'People stole them. Duh.' BUT, all the people I had over I have 200% trust in. All of them have been on my list for quite a while. But, on both occasions, after I ended the sessions, and saved my game, flowers disappeared both times.

The 1st time, a pink carnation disappeared. The 2nd time, a Jacobs ladder disappeared. Now, I asked everyone that was in my town if for some reason they took them; They all said no. Now, normally I wouldn't accept just a no, but considering all these people frequently visit my town and I chat with them often, I did. I've heard of other people whose flowers also mysteriously disappeared after saving the game.

So, I want to hear if anyone else has had this occur... Seriously annoyed by this because I've had a perfect town for 26 days, and I've only had 4 Jacobs ladders spawn. ;x;

I think they ran over your flowers. That, or it's a glitch.

That never happened before because I barely open my gate so people barely visits my town.

The only answer is someone is lying to you, unfortunately. Hasn't happened to me, but I've heard of it happening to others a lot!

I know you say you trust these players, but I doubt that they could have vanished. New Leaf doesn't have many glitches. Someone may have taken them and isn't being honest. :s

I'm afraid I feel you are being far too trusting. People will pretend to be your friends so they can use you and take advantage of you. I have never come across someone saying their flowers disappeared through anything other than due to people taking them or destroying them. Sorry, but I'm pretty sure that someone is just taking them from you.

Seeing as how those flowers aren't just common flowers, but rare and special ones, I'm still inclined to think someone did actually take them from you. That's probably not what you wanted to hear, just my two cents.

Ok. But, I just cannot see any of them taking them... I've had all these people over countless times, and I've had plenty of rare things laying around. Never noticed one thing missing, because believe me, I check everything. Everything.

That might be due to them thinking you might not notice if they just took a flower. If it was a glitch why would it be only the very rare flowers that go missing? I suggest you get some new more trustworthy friends and see if the ''glitch'' still happens.

I don't know what happens. I think your so-trusted friends have betrayed you and took them when you weren't looking.

Yeah I agree with most of these responses. >.< If it was just a glitch I doubt it'd be only rare flowers. >> Also to put in my own experience... I've never had a flower disappear on me.

Sorry, but I think someone took advantage of your kindness. Sadly.
There's no such glitch of disappearing flowers until now, and being rare flowers that disappeared over a wi-fi session...

Go over to those friend's towns, and see if a similar glitch made those flowers appear in their town . It's also possible that they wilted, but because they're rare flowers you took notice of those particular ones.

One of them did it, something just like this happened to me, I thought they were trusted but they weren't and lied to me too!

No one comes to my town and I also have missing flowers. I have the "empty flower bed" -- I planted some flowers the next day they disappeared. Several other flowers has also disappeared within my town. I water daily and again no visitors to my town.
