I'm trying to landscape my town with only gold, white, and blue flowers. I've been thinking that maybe, that's too bland. Maybe I could switch the colors up every season? However, I want a low maintenance town. God, why am I so indecisive? I don't know, what do you think? Is it boring to have a town with only one/two/three flowers? (Also, I don't remember when I update my DA so that won't help)
I've seen several really made towns with limited color palettes when it came to the flowers. I think it really helps tie in the theme or idea of a town without it looking too chaotic. ^^
I agree, you could make a very cohesive-looking town with a clear theme if you do a limited palette. And if you get tired of those colors, then you could change them later.
I think that limiting it to a few colours could look really nice! And as others have said above, you can always change them later!!! At the moment, I have lots of different colours, but I am breeding purple and pink roses to line my paths. Permanent paths will be one space pink azaleas, one space purple roses. The none permanent paths (that lead to villager's houses and things) will be pink and purple roses, alternating.
