what kind of flower pairings always result in a hybrid?
I know that you can get a blue rose every time you breed a blue rose with a blue rose but I don't know much else and the guides I look at don't specify the chances of getting a hybrid every single time if you use a certain flower pair.
The Thonky guide is wonky. I'm not trying to be funny, I'm totally serious. A few combinations listed on the guide won't work as others. I bred all the hybrids without using a guide, by the way.
Red and yellow will always spawn orange. Most red flowers spawn black, except for cosmos and carnations. Red and white will always spawn pink, except pansies, since pink pansies are nonexistent. White carnations, roses and pansies are the only white flowers that can spawn hybrids on their own. White pansies spawn blue, while white roses spawn purple and white carnations spawn more white carnations. Planting hybrids together also spawns more hybrids.
