Good morning (or evening), TBT users. It's 9 am as I'm writing, and I'm here to talk about my little morning horror story.

YESTERDAY

Let's begin with a past situation. Yesterday was a pretty nice Animal Crossing day, with nothing seemingly weird. I've began the day at the right day and hour, doing the new character trick to see if I could get any campsites and their easy money. Got a campsiter (Felicity) and began the day. Checked Joan, bought 10 turnips to test the time travel thing and comproved some things. Back to normal time. Watered all flowers, watered hybrids 5 times or more, talked to villagers yada yada. At night, traded with some TBT users, and got a handful rose hybrids from a very cool user, then began do island hunting and campsite, until about 22:00 pm (time traveled without breaking any temporal rules, as if last save 2:10 and new time travel and new save 2:09) Saved game and changed console hour to right time.

TODAY

Woke up about 5 am, waited anxiously for 6 am for the day to began in Animal Crossing. 6 am right time, opened the console and created a new character, to do the same thing as the anterior day. Checked out the news thing, and there was a Timmy and Tommy rare item post that WAS NOT THERE PREVIOUSLY, BUT DATING 2 DAYS AGO (29). All other news were checked and cool. Weird, but let's proceed. Checked the campsite, with no campers. Walked a bit for the right, were are some orange trees, a PWP and roses specifically planted to hybrids. No new flowers, no wilted, but ONE WHITE ROSE WAS MISSING. "Damn, I'm pretty sure I didn't run over it? Neither picked it up, I would have no reason to do that." Very well, then. I did proceed to find out if Gracie or something was at the plaza, but nothing. Below my Plaza I've been planting about ten blue roses, plus a white carnation and about four orange roses that I got by that cool TBT user.

Heart attack.

LOTS of blue roses have been WILT, AND SOME OTHER ROSES DID JUST DISAPPAER. POOF. THEY'RE GONE. But I had watered them so many times the previous day, and I don't run in my town anymore, neither pick up those hybrids! Quickly turned off the game (remember, with a NEW CHARACTER SLOT not saved), changed the console time to about the time I did save and close yesterday, perhaps with one more hour. THINGS GOT EVEN F WORSE. There was a weed next to my house, a weed that I did pull off right when I did log off yesterday. Roses around my house have also wilt, but only a few. Flowers around some of my villagers and PWP have wilt, a few have DISAPPEARED. F word.
"Maybe I played yesterday's game as before yesterday or something? Perhaps I accidentally changed the year?" Wrong, wrong, wrong. Everything was damn normal as it should and would be. Except for that flower thing. I have got so nervous and it's still morning, that's a bad sign. Changed console time to right time and day, created a new character file. IT JUST KEEP GETTING WORSE. NOW A BUNCH OF FLOWERS HAVE DISAPPEARED, LOTS OF OTHER HAVE WILT, THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS WRONG HERE. TT'd again to yesterday just to check something, and it keeps bad, very bad.

RESUME OF THE STORY

I don't know what the f is happening to my town's flowers, but it's getting me pretty nervous. I've been thinking, at the worser situation, that part of my game might have been corrupted or something, or perhaps I'm just too nervous to think right now. Also, I've been wondering if, even if I TT'd back to yesterday, still with the flower bug, and changed the Ordinance to Beautiful Town, everything would be right the next day (today), or at least for yesterday's bug perspective.

SO NOW, TBT COMMUNITY, I URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON AND HOW TO SOLVE IT!
HELP A FELLOW USER IN NEED, I BEG YOU !!

IMPORTANT NOTES

I did NOT SAVE at any point of today's terrible discovery.

EVERYTHING aside flowers, weeds and mail are the way they should be. The mail thing is that, TTing to YESTERDAY LATE NIGHT, I've received mails I would receive TODAY EARLY MORNING, which is also very suspicious.

All items and bells i've received yesterday are still here and fine, the way as the should be.

Ok... That's so weird. I don't know what happened, but here's my suggestion: check whatever flowers you lost, play without TTing for two days or so, and do not TT by using your 3ds time anymore. Just play as usual, but avoid TTing by the 3ds for a while. imho it's always better to TT using ac time only.

Tell me the flower you lost and I can help you out!

Oh no.This is a rare case...is yours a physical copy or a digital one?

I've got a fairly new physical copy, playing in a 2 years old console.

I guess I could do that, but the wilted and disappeared flowers change every single time I log in, and not even time traveling. I don't think TTing is the problem, but that is something I'm considerating too, alongside with the Beautiful Town Ordinance… Still, it might be a huge lost…

Thank you a lot for considerating helping! I hope to not trouble you out at any sort of way.

This is quite a rare case. Anything you notice about your copy?Scratches,Cracks etc. Because I remember that NES cartridges had bugs because of Physical damages,or dirt inside the cartridge. Have you tried cleaning the part where the cartridge connects with the 3DS?

But you are using a new character every time, right? That's normal, it will change every time you start w/ a new character. I do that a lot, too, and hybrids/flowers/fossils will change every time. What weirds me out the most is the bulletin board thing and the fact that they wilted even though you watered them. And I personally think it is related to the console hour/ac hour difference. Maybe it messed them up, I don't know haha. It's safer to mess only with the ac time I think.
Beautiful Town is the greatest thing ever imho if you TT and has hybrids

Of course not, just let me know what you lost and I'll see what hybrids I have to spare!

Oh wait. I have an idea thay pinged me. Which do you use to time travel? System clock or the game's clock? Because time travelling using your game's clock will mess up your system's one. I time traveled using the in game clock, but my system clock was not the same date. I changed my system clock to current date, but the in game clock's date became 13 days ahead!

Just have checked, and the cartridge is seeming like I just took it off the box for the first time. It's cold too, so it's not an overheating problem. The space the cartridge goes on seems fine, but now that you mentioned it, maybe it's worth trying to clean it.

ANOTHER IMPORTANTE NOTE

In that other quote, I did just mention that the wilted and disappeared flowers change every single time. As for TODAY, I did only enter as a new character file, as i'm unsure about entering with the Mayor, but even still the flowers are changing, something that doesn't usually happen when you create a new character or log in with your mayor.

About YESTERDAY (TT'd today), I did only enter as my mayor, and the same thing. Wilted and missing are changing species and numbers. Also worthy to mention that a dandelion that was normal in right yesterday, was a dandelion puff in one of the TT'd yesterday attempts.

I guess I could do that, but the wilted and disappeared flowers change every single time I log in, and not even time traveling.

Oh, I didn't know that! I fought it was only the board and the campsite, perhaps the weed location too. And yes, that's really weird, but about the board, there's a possibility I forgot about the Timmy and Tommy notice, or it just glitches alongside anyway.
Also oh yeah, forgot about the AC hour, but I'm as far as I know it changes when the console time changes too.

Anyway, best thing I could do probably is, as you said, carry on and try to recover the mess… Again, thank you for willing to help! I'll check out how many and what kind of flowers have disappeared the new time I log in, since they change all time haha,,,ha,,

I always change the system clock, I had no idea you could do that with the game's clock, lmfao.
But as system date changes, game date changes as well, i've tested that,,,

Have you tried getting the Beautiful town ordinance? It might help with the flowers and weeds, so you don't lose anymore flowers until you get things figured out ^_^

This one is actually a good idea :)
I'm considering that as probably my only way to carry on, but I'm trying to discover first what might have happened to all this thing happen.

If the source is found, maybe there's a solution. maybe. ……maybe…..

"Feces happened but oh well shrugs now i've gotta carry on"

also can we write cuss words on this forum, because it's a bit silly to write "F word" every single time lmfao

It does, but I think it's a bit more... delicate? Than just changing the game's hours? I've TTed a lot (I was in a hiatus since November/December and went all the way back to Thanksgiving and am slowly getting back to the regular date haha) but only using the game's time, and never had an issue.

But don't worry about the flowers, it's totally normal, they will always change as long as you use a new character!

I think what happened was an error in TTing, resulting in the loss and wilting of several flowers, except everytime you make a new character it alters which flowers wilted.

edit** the system clock does change the game time- I;e, game clock set to march 20th, system clock set to april 1st, change system clock to april 10th, game clock changes to march 30th. I learned this on accident, haha.

and yes, you can say **** on this thread. it censors it, but you don't get in trouble or anything.

You guys have been so attentious to be it makes me want to cry seriously,,,,, thanks a bunch,,,,

Now you hitted me insecurity about the game's time, since you've experienced good TT experience using it and Kildor22 had the opposite. Hmmm…
Also, thanks again! I'm just hoping to get in a time where there are not much missing flowers… I guess wilteds are even okay now, since they can get "better" again, but the missed…. Will be missed.

Hello, thanks for giving your opinion! I must disagree though, I don't think the time travel did have much of an effect on this. You see, I mentioned time travel lots of times in this post, but actually I did just time travel after I noticed the flower disaster, and always hours back or forward.

My normal time traveling routine consists in only going back or forward hours of the same day or the previous day, never years ahead or months, or… such thing. Besides that, I play in normal time.

But could it be a TT accident still? Perhaps.

I've actually lost flowers TT-ing too. I watered everything on the day I TT'd and changed to Beautiful Town before I TT'd. I only TT'd forwards about four days to move a villager out and then TT'd back to the normal date and a lot of flowers were missing. It was actually the first time I'd TT-d that much so I didn't think anything of it..

I am so sorry I would help you out but...
I've seen your post before edit man, chill. You want proof, I'll show you proof.

Entering game and doing all the things I have already done, posting pictures on this thread still.

WORSE MISSING/WILT HYBRID THAT I'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT

fx55eF5.jpg

Today right time with new character file.

q67uAKW.jpg

Yesterday (today) with mayor. Made after the above situation.

OTHER THINGS I'VE MENTIONED ON THE TEXT

jXsdiFm.jpg

Yesterday (today) as Mayor. The mail thing, weed and some wilts. Image alone doesn't prove anything, though.

yWXon5C.jpg

Another missing in Yesterday (today). Again, image alone doesn't prove anything.

I wish I had taken a photo yesterday of the flowers all setted up and nice… Unfortunately I don't have that. These are only a few photos, and I'm trying to provide more.

I'm aware that few photos might now explain the situation entirely, but I'm willing repeat this process and take more photos.

Er, it's really the other way around. TTing with the game clock does not affect your system time. That's the difference. You can be in year 2050 in your town and your system clock will stay the same day you are now.

TTing with the system clock affects the in-game clock. Not vice versa.

This is why I avoid messing with the system clock too much. It messes a lot of things up. :c The system clock is a lot more delicate than the in-game clock, because the system clock is using your console's software and could create corrupt data if used incorrectly (because, keep in mind, your console records everything you do: your playtime, when you opened your browser, how many times you opened your game, what time you took a picture, etc etc). That's why it warns you about changing the system clock the first time you do it.

Anyway, OP's problem seems to be an error in TTing. With each added story I feel like your game has something corrupted or something. 8c

What do you need for flowers? I have some extras on my beach. I have lost flowers due to a tt accident. Now I have beautiful town ordinance and do not lose any flowers at all. I learned my lesson the hard way, Including all but 1 of my jacob's ladders :(

**To add a note. I have 3 consoles and I only change the system clock and have had no issues except for my own human error.

Point taken, ALLCAPS. It's all a risk… It really might have been corrupted, though I have hope it was only for this incident thing…

Primrose, I would be really glad if you could help me! If it makes you more comfortable, I can pay for the flowers. But to see that, I need to really be courageous and enter "today with right time" with my mayor (which seems to be the only solution to carry on haha,,,ha)

I'll see what kind of flowers did disappear, but I'm seeking to replace only hybrids, since they are my biggest lost.
