After harvesting many rocks with a flimsy shovel vs shovel, I find that a flimsy shovel gives a better yield of iron nuggets. I've been using my nook miles tickets, to catch some tarantulas at night, I bring back some iron too from the rocks. Currently have 2 stacks and a bit. Try it out and let me know how it goes!
