It's the fishing tourney tomorrow, and since I had to reset my town it is my first chance to get all of the fish set! I thought this might be a good place to share tips and tricks that other people have used to maximise the amount of furniture you get. I always have seemed to mess up some how and half my fish are unusable because I accidentally submitted a whale shark or something....

Well I suggest you write your fish and their sizes so you don't get confused - it helps me a lot! Start from as small as a goldfish to a shark! Hope this little info helps! Well I guess quality not quantity so yeah I guess hope this helps!
I doubt you'll be able to get the entire set since Chip will ask for 1 specific type of fish this time. You'll need to wait for April to be able to give him any fish, starting with the smallest. The last Fishing Tourney will be in May which is also 1 specific fish.
The size of your fish also needs to be above average, aside from being the biggest, in order to receive a fish set item. Otherwise you'll receive a normal furniture item. It's also common for Chip to gift you pieces you already have.

But if Chip asks for any random fish I always write mine down so that I mostlikely get a lot of the series, when I give up I just enter a whale shark or a shark xD

Yes make sure you write down the fish size so you can give them to chip in order! This will get you lots of items. Someone said start with a goldfish....nope. Chip will be looking for one fish this time. Also someone will have already set the biggest fish record. So you can't just submit the smallest fish, you need to submit ones just bigger then the previous record. It will be very tough to get the whole set in one tourney.
