Fishing for trash

Do you y'all have any tricks to finding trash in your water for that coupon objective? I'm trying to fish in the waterfall basin since the char and salmon aren't in season. Not much luck yet. Oddly even with the gold rod they don't seem to be staying on the hook long enough in that spot.

Shadows that have odd or sporadic movement are generally trash items.

Don't find trash very often, but have found it all places including the ponds.
I haven't got beautiful ordinance on so do get trash once & a while - if I get the task as a coupon objective I usually will pull trash at some point in the day.
I sometimes get a medium size shadow in a pond - its always trash.

Make sure that the keep the town ordinance isn't currently enforced. That should be a given, but I figured I'd throw that out there either way. I tend to find trash where waterfalls converge also.

yeah you can't have beautiful town on, i think it removes the chance (although oddly enough i think you can still get the requests...)

i like never try for this unless i have some other ordinance on, but ya.

Yes I have beautiful town and I get catch trash in my objectives, smh
