I've always found it strange how somebody can eat fish, but also own fish.
I mean I don't like the taste of most fish anyways but a pet fish wouldn't even make a snack so
Though I did eat sole a while ago and I was like is my fish side-eyeing me rn
I've always found it strange how somebody can eat fish, but also own fish. It's probably just 'cause I'm a vegan, but it's alien to me.
I bought one fish from petsmart that was actually pregnant... Soon, I had like 100 babies swimming around...

I have a beautiful goldfish that I won at a game of hook-a-duck when I was very little. I named it Nemo.
I guess it's just strange to me because fish are so insignificant to most people. It seems like the smaller, more colourful fish get the best treatment. Every other, more ordinary kind, has no meaning anymore. It's quite depressing when I think about it, actually. I really shouldn't.
To be honest, fish aren't really pets really but more of a decoration. They basically just sit there all day and swim around, taking care of them isn't really enjoyable or fun.
Plus my turtle always eats my fish anyway lol

Although, Fish like these are pretty cool let me say.
my friend owns a pot belly big and he eats bacon every morning. i't's not that weird really.
usually people don't care what type of meat they eat, now they probably wont cook their pet but i mean, i wouldn't feel bad owning a pot belly big and eating bacon because i love bacon and i love my pig.
He's in a four gallon tank currently.
Oh gosh they are. We're looking at hopefully getting a halfmoon in the summertime. Wish I could afford to do so now.
I wouldn't say they aren't pets. People like me who dedicate alot of time to taking care of them have grown attached to them. I would be really sad if one of my fish died. Just because you can't pet them, doesn't mean they're not pets.
Do you have pictures of your tank?
I'm confused about betta fish. They are at my local petsmart but they put them in small contrainers. Like REALLY small containers.
This petsmart puts the guppies, goldfish, etc. in much larger tanks in the back. Why are they in such tiny containers?
Yikes!How did you handle that?
They're too aggressive to be kept together. They'd just kill each other.

Ps: I get that most fish people have in their aquariums have never even seen an ocean and were bred, but that's not the point. They're still not meant to be inside a glass bowl/tank(IMO). I find them beautiful and rather see them free.
