Fish/Bug/Dive

I have to go with diving. I find it pretty relaxing and enjoyable to just swim around and dive down every so often to grab any creature that appears. Definitely helps as well that you get more bells than you normally would catching every bug/fish that pops up and that you don't have to deal with the hassle of your tools breaking, lol

Bug catching has always been my favorite, though I have fond memories of fishing in the original. Stringfish helped me pay off many loans back in the day.

Fishing is frustrating because I can't ever catch rare big fish when I'm playing in console mode. I don't know if it's because I'm too far away from the TV or my Switch is too close to my router or what, but it makes fishing kind of a bummer.

Love catching bugs, love seeing bugs, adds so much to the game experience almost constantly. This got my vote.

Really enjoy diving. Just swimming around is so mellow and pleasant, you can make a ton of bells fast, and I enjoy trying to predict the catches.

i definitely prefer fishing and feel i do that more often than bug catching as it’s more fun for me aha. but i was tempted to vote for diving just because of Pascal

Fishing, solely due to how nostalgic it is for me. When I played the Gamecube back when I was really young, I would spend hours fishing. I really liked the way Red Snappers looked lol, so I would collect them and stuff my house full of them. So fishing in AC is a super nostalgic and relaxing thing to do. I super love the other pastimes too, but none of them beat fishing to me. And I'd be sadder to get rid of it than the other two options.
