I just joined Steam and I'm excited to pick what PC games I should get. The only video games I've played before were Combat Arms, Maplestory, The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection, Harvest Moon series, Animal Crossing Series, and a bit of Guild Wars 2.

I'm planning to get Scribblenauts Unlimited to play along with my little sister.
Can you guys recommend me games you love on Steam? By the way, I'm a huge fan of cute games.

Long Live the Queen is very adorable and cute and is very on sale until January 12th! It's a thinking game though.

Thank you guys for your suggestions! I can't wait to check them out.

Prison Architect is at the top of my favorites if you're into simulation/tycoon games.

I strongly recommend Little Inferno as it is one of my favourite games, definitely worth a buy!

"Portal" & "Portal 2", hands down.

Also, "The Book of Unwritten Tales" if you like point and click puzzles.

I'd recommend Planetside 2 - it's free to play, but you can unlock the majority of weapons/items as you go along. It's quite a unique game in that it's a MMOFPS, having absolutely huge maps(there's four continents that three factions fight for constantly, each continent being made up of about 50 smaller regions, each being about the size of a normal FPS map).

I'd also recommend checking out music games such as Beat Hazard and Audiosurf. If you have a good-sized music library then you can easily get a good few hundred hours out of each game if you want to, and each game is only ?7 and ?6 respectively. Then there are the games like Terraria, Starbound and other similar games which can drain hours out of your life without you noticing.

Warframe is a great free to play game, I'm having fun progressing through it without having to pay any real money

So much games to decide! ^ __ ^
I'm looking at reviews for some of the games you guys mentioned, thanks a lot. ~

I would definitely recommend Mirror's Edge, Risk of Rain, Remember Me, and pretty much all the games that have already been mentioned. I'm sure there's a lot more I would love waiting for me in my library but the steam backlog dilemma is real!
