First Time on Club Tortimer (My Experience)

I don't remember my first time on Club Tortimer, but I've always had a blast and I've met a lot of friends from all over the world. I don't think all the horror stories are a fair representation of Club Tortimer at all.

Whenever I go to the island, it's mostly to island hop to look for things like the pink wetsuit or the flip-flops. Those flip-flops are my favorite sandals to wear in the summertime and it's much easier to find them when you island hop. When I'm doing that, maybe a couple of players say hi to me and I kinda leave them in a hurry. Don't mean to do it, but if I don't leave right away, I just explain I'm island hopping. They then say OK and I leave. I think the first time I went to the island I did hang out with a couple people. I should probably do that again. :D

My first time on Club Tortimer was last night loll. It was fun, haha there was a hacker but they were chill and gave out items and bells. Will be going there again ;D

I don't remember much about my first time. I do know that one of the earlier times, I met another player, and he gave me his golden rose he had on his character.

Overall it was pleasant, but I don't go on often.

Ok honestly 9 times out of 10 I literally run away because I get nervous, like I see someone else is there and end up being too anxious to talk so I quickly go on a tour before they can join me lol I can't remember for sure but I ink the first time I used it the other player on the island was a Japanese player and I don't remember if they spoke English at all (and I can't speak any Japanese other than a few words I picked up from anime because I'm a weeb lol, and I definetly can't write it) or if I talked to them, i think they had a tinkle outfit on lol

I've had some great experiences at Club tortimer, and some bad ones, but the times I encountered rude people I was never dissuaded from going back again. i've gone to the international ones and the north american ones, and the odds of friendly versus rude behavior seem about the same either way.

about a third of the time i've gone, there's either nobody else there, or everyone is just minding their own business. maybe some small chatting about how the fish are biting, or where you're from. some people there seem to be afk and their character just stands there.

about another third of the time, there's somebody rude there. either somebody running up casting a fishing line at a fish you're already sitting there trying to catch, or saying weird things, or begging for bells or smthn. as a guy playing the game, i sometimes encounter players claiming to be girls and asking me how old i am and saying they want a boyfriend (that's when i say Sorry gtg and leave). that's happened in english, spanish, and german. some people seem to enjoy hitting the wifi switch just to mess up everyone's time--- that's an issue that Nintendo really needs to fix in AC Switch, if one person's wifi drops it shouldnt end everyone else's session. one time a japanese player kept hitting my mayor on the head with their net. one time an american girl was begging us for bells, while she's wearing a royal crown lol, we just otld her to sell her crown then she'd be rich hahah.

but the other third of the time, you meet people that are awesome. once i met a lady from Japan, and we exchanged friend codes and listed each other as best friends on ACNL so that we could visit each other's towns to chat, she was super nice. (my 3ds from then broke tho and i lost all my codes). you meet people with interesting conversation, or that hekp you out with island tours, or that gift things ot the other players. overall i think Club tortimer is a positive experience.
