It took over a hundred resets.
I pretty much lost count.
But now I've found my dream layout!
The river isn't very bendy, and is mostly straight except for a dip in the center of the town. Inside the dip is my event plaza, and I think it looks 100% perfect there. In the top right corner is my town hall, which is exactly where I wanted it. Re-Tail is right by the cliff on the right. There are no houses nearby, the river is extremely close, and my only pond is right by it. Since I love fishing, this is literally the ultimate set-up, because it'll take 5 seconds max to come down from the river and enter Re-Tail while walking.
On top of that, I got a pretty awesome set of villagers. I have Mathilda the Kangaroo, whom I love, Skye the wolf, who's also awesome, Bones the dog- I loooove him!, Jay the bird- not my favorite, but I can live with him, and Hopper the penguin. I'm going to use the reset trick for my 6th villager in hopes of getting someone who I like with a decent house position.
But anyways, I'm in love with this layout. The houses are distributed nicely, all the buildings are exactly where I wanted them to be, and there's an Eastern-facing beach; and I personally hate Western-facing ones.
I'll try to get a pic of the layout soon! I could take it with my iPod and upload it, but I'm not sure how good of quality that will be... Oh well! :3 I'm super excited!
