I think it looks cool, though it gave me more of Game of Thrones or The Witcher vibes more than traditional fantasy Final Fantasy games.

They’re going back to their high fantasy roots! Hyped for now but will wait for gameplay videos before deciding to buy! Ifrit looking good tho 🔥

Yep, I'm excited for high fantasy too. They've been modern-ish more often than not ever since FFVII, so it's been a really long time. Even FFVI had mechs.

Pretty hyped for this ngl. None of the characters shown really caught my eye like with previous FF titles, but I'm super happy they're taking a step back from the modern setting and going back to their roots. Also this is looking to be easily the darkest FF game we've ever gotten. I really hope the story is able to back-up the rest of the presentation.

God awful main character design. I wish they'd gone with what we saw in Agni's Philosophy for ff16.

I think I was being too hard on it, that was just my first immediate reaction. As long as yet another dark-haired emo haircut male main character doesn't have a brooding personality I'll be fine with him.

Story beats look interesting from what I see and I just hope there's a lot of focus on getting us emotionally attached to the characters in a well-executed way.

The battle style looks pretty...FF15ish which had a battle style I didn't like as much as previous FF titles but that's the direction they've been headed in.

Setting looks good even though I don't know much other than it being fairly high fantasy. As long as there is diversity in environment through the story I think it'll be fine. What's important is what it can do for the story.

Not sure how I feel tbh. On one hand, it looks like it has a cool story and it had me nodding my head, but as far as the characters looks go, they aren't half as good as the last FF with Noctis. Gameplay looks awesome though.

I know im gonna sound a little pissy
So id apologize first
But to be honest ff series is getting so far away from its origins that i totally missed my interest im the series
Last game i played was the 13 trilogy
Ita not a bad game but is kind awkward
I prefer the turn based core game non linear
In that aspect it seems to me that square is keeping dragon quest series as a traditional jrpg and making final fantasy with inovative ideas
Also i dont like tetsuya nomura character design, because they are all the same in aewthetics and personality
Thanks lord dragon quest is still the sane game for decades

It’s giving me XII vibes a little. I haven’t really liked any of the FF from XIII on much I did like the 3rd one in the XIII trilogy for some reason I’m not sure why. XV was ok but the story was blah I really didn’t get invested in any of the characters. So far this ones graphics look good but none of the characters stood out to me either. So idk about it so far.

I was wondering if any FF game was going to go back to medieval fantasy and I’m guessing this will? Haven’t played FFXV yet despite having bought it on sale a while ago but I did love playing FFXIV.
