Final Fantasy XIV

Oh so, I'm not sure if I've ever met anyone from here that plays or still plays FFXIV. Then again, I also haven't looked too hard. So here's a thread to talk about anything FFXIV. From previous versions, like 1.0, upcoming updates, like 2.4 and so on!

I want to like this game SO bad. I was excited about it when it came out. I got excited about the re-work. I'm getting re-excited to give it a third chance. But I just can't enjoy it. It's so slow, and clunky, and awkward. I want to love this game. PLEASE help me love this game

I'm not sure what I can do for you. I've been playing final fantasy online for a long time so playing this feels natural for me. Coupled with the fact that I've made some really good friends. I'm addicted to chocobo raising right now, however.

Is 14 different than 11 in the sense that if you raise a chocobo you keep it for good? I remember in 11 people would spend like years raising chocobos, would finally get one of their own, only to have it die to something incredibly dumb (like not being fed or just straight up killed).

I want to like FF, I really do. But the gameplay. THAT CURSED BORING GAMEPLAY.

Every thing else about it seems cool. The story, the characters, the graphics, music etc. But it is just absolutely no fun to play in my opinion. GAAAH. Curse you WoW for being SO fun that you've ruined every other MMO for me.

You can play with PS4 and PC player right Alice? I've been on the fence about this for awhile, not sure if I want to get it for PC or for PS4.

Chocobo's don't die. Once you get a chocobo from a breeder you name it, and yours forever. You can then stable it, feed it and train it. Feeding it changes it colors based on which fruit you feed it, with a little bit of RNG. I guess FFXIV can be boring from level 1-15, especially depending on class, but the gameplay is pretty exciting when certain battles demand that you're always paying attention. Not quite sure how much wow has on it considering both games play sort of similarly when it comes to PVE. I kind of dislike wow to be honest. It's still so ugly and unappealling.

Ya, it's on PC and PS4. PC version is better, naturally.
