I know; this game is fifteen years old now, but this is easily one of my favorite games of all time. The characters, the story, the music!

It's just all so good...

And Zidane and Garnet? Total OTP material.

And apparently it's being released on Steam sometime in the near future...for the strictly PC gaming peoples of the world.

Anyone else love this game, or am I totally alone on this one?

I still remember constantly resetting to try and impress all the nobles. I got there in the end after countless 98-99 out of 100 were impressed messages.

Overall I enjoyed the game, it's not my favourite FF, but, I like it enough to be excited for it coming to iOS soon so I can replay it on the go.

I have it on my PSP as well, so I sometimes take it with me when I wanna play it and not be housebound.

I'd consider getting it on Steam when it releases, but I can play it on my PS3 and with the HDMI, it looks just as good, since an HD remaster is out of the question.

I tried to replay it recently and lost interest halfway through, but I can't remember why...

Back when I first played it though, as a kid, I remember loving it. Not my favorite in the series but it definitely had its own unique flavor and it's one that people either love or hate, I think.

I had a hard time relating to characters that weren't exactly human back then, too, which is why I'd love to give it a try again sometime and see how it goes. I loved both Garnet and Beatrix, but apart from that I think the female cast was kind of lacking, which is always a difficult thing for me to get past.

You're right; it is definitely a game that you either love or hate. From what I've seen and read, there is no middle ground with this game.

One of the biggest missed opportunities of this game was that they didn't go more in-depth with the character of Freya. She could've been one of the most interesting and tragic characters in the game, and it just fell through. A real shame...

I'm one of those people who didn't end up caring for this game as much.

I really liked the chocobo digging mini-game though! I really like chocobos for some reason.

I have fond memories of getting to the end of the game and being extremely surprised by the final boss - I was extremely underleveled and barely managed to scrap out a win from Kuja, and panicked a bit during the thing that came after.

I still won, but like, with 1 person alive and with 100 health.

FF8 will always be my favorite to me - but that's for nostalgia reasons.

I remember having Eiko in my party and she went into Trance...managed to kill the final boss by casting Holy repeatedly, lol. Barely survived that one...and I'm pretty sure I was a decent level, too.

I love IX. It's my joint favorite with X (because I've never been able to decide which I like more).

I was considering playing it again recently, then the Steam announcement was made, so I'm debating whether to wait till I buy that or just play with the original disc. I'll probably just use the original disc though since it seems they're really half arsing the Steam version...

I'm replaying it on my PS3, and it looks amazing...especially with edge smoothing turned on. :)

FFX is good, too. I have the HD Remaster that I've been playing through recently. I'm close to the Yunalesca battle, and I freaking HATE her.

Loved it! one of my all time fave games. I loved everyone in that game.

Ditto! Vivi is one of all-time favorite characters in anything, ever. There were times I wanted to reach through the screen and give him a big hug. Poor little guy... <3

it's not my favorite Final Fantasy , but i really love this game too!

It's tied with VI for my favorite Final Fantasy game, but X also holds a special place in my heart. I remember waking up early to get some playtime in before school, haha.

I love FFIX! Definitely one of my top three favorites in the series. I especially love the music, the best Uematsu has written imo. And Steiner is so awkward. I love that tin man. :p

YES. Oh man, I have the OST and the Piano Collections and the music in this game sounds amazing no matter what! Also, Uematsu has stated that the music he composed for this game is his favorite among all the FFs.

Steiner is hilarious...love how Zidane calls him Rusty, lol.

I've only played through the first parts and already I'm getting the feels. Blank! Too soon... T_T

I agree that it has some of the best music in the FF seried. I couldn't stop playing it in FF Curtain Call.

Haha...they're my most-played tracks in Theatrhythm, too.
