FFXIV Thread!

calling all ffxiv players!

making this thread for those that are new, returning, or veterans and are also on tbt!
i'm fairly new having started about a month ago, but have a white mage and bard to mid 50's and am trying to clear through the MSQ! (i have full game + expansions heheh)

what's your data-center, server, username, enjoy role-playing? post it all!
share your info to make new ffxiv friends (which i am currently looking!) or post any thoughts or opinions on the game itself, or especially last night's announcements!

i'm also currently developing a social discord for ffxiv if you would like to join and help give any ideas for development or possibly be staff for release!

Well, hello!

I'm Rawrie Snow (a Miqo'te) and I hail from Siren on Aether! Yeah, I enjoy roleplaying! Been a RPer my whole liiiiife.

I main white mage (she's level 80) and have a few other level 80's (bard, summoner/scholar) and some in the 70 range (black mage/paladin) but I've been heavily working on leveling the dark knight and astro jobs.

The MSQ is long and can be grindy, just stick with it. You won't regret it!

I personally love FFXIV. I play WoW too. MMO's have always been a big part of my life.

I quit playing after FFXI. I dont know if the later versions compare, or it is just how I remember FFXI. I had so many great memories playing that game. My co-workers, friends and my sister all played that game together. It was great to go in to work the next day and talk about the previous evening's game.
I haven't looked at FFXIV, but I might just have a peek now.

I quit playing after FFXI. I dont know if the later versions compare, or it is just how I remember FFXI. I had so many great memories playing that game. My co-workers, friends and my sister all played that game together. It was great to go in to work the next day and talk about the previous evening's game.
I haven't looked at FFXIV, but I might just have a peek now.

I know if you do ever take a peek at it the trial for 14 is pretty good. They bumped it so you can play the base game, and pretty much the entirety of the first expansion. While able to level up the classes to level 60.

i wish i had the time in my life to play more mmorpgs
FF XI and Phantasy star Online were part of my teenage life!!! I absolutely love those games and i mmiss so much the time i spent the whole night with my friends doing some quests and grinding for better equipment
Unfortunately i havent been able to play FFXIV yet and this is one of my biggest regrets in gaming
im a big fan of the ff series but since ff XI not so many games thta atractted my atention
i prefer the medieval setting and the most recent games are too futuristic or kinda weird in my opinion... i was very happy that FFXVI is back to the basics of medieval scenario and thats why i love the aesthetics of FF XI and XIV
maybe one day, when my life is not dominated by medicine and work... ill be plying the whole story of this beutifull game

Just one quick diumb question?
is there an offline mode to only play the story in the game?

Sadly the game fully requires online to play.

Heck yeah! I play a lalafell named Nanamie Namie on Siren (Aether DC)! Sleepy witch, conjurer and botanist. I love to RP and run PvE content. And the MSQ has messed me up in the best way so many times.

I currently run a lalafell FC, since people can be really nasty to lala players for some reason. But we just do occasional events and have fun! Also Square did my boy Papalymo so dirty. I cry every day.

Oh my god, I legit think I've seen you around. The name sounds familiar! But yes! I'd love to run content with you one day! I haven't played much because of an injury but when I get to my PC, I'll toss you my discord info! I assume you use it, heh.

Also the MSQ has made me ugly cry. It's totally okay lol
