What kind of island are you going for thematically? Going on pinterest is a good way to get inspo btw

i'm just going for a calm theme overall just a place you can just lay down in the grass with a few flowers and trees to calm down with some calm music and such i'd happily have orvil open the airport again and since it's evening here and it is lightly dark in animal crossing do you want me to put my nintendo to the afternoon time to see the my island better?

I think pinterest and tumblr may be a great way to get inspired for that kind of thing!
Making lots of leisure areas (like picnic places, benches, little libraries, small cafes etc) should help you achieve that calm, relaxing feel

Well, layout is a start. Try and have your shops in a close proximity to each other and houses. Trekking from one shop to another is time wasting.
