Fertilizer can be used for grass right? How much of an area does it cover?

I was told it doesn't fix the grass deterioration. Fertilizer only works for increasing the chances of getting a perfect fruit on your native fruit tree and increase flower production.

Oh. Well got the perfect trees down, that is all the trees are in my town lol Maybe I will try it will flowers. I haven't tried growing hybrids yet.

O.O it works for me but...but...only 1 hybrid a day =(

Fertilizer doesn't regrow grass, unfortunately. It's just for encouraging flower hybrids(works better if used with golden shovel and paired with golden watering can!) and for the perfect fruit thing.
Grass can be regrown by not playing, rain/snow, or watering flowers on the spot you want to regrow.

You need to have good flower placement with selective watering in order to grow lots of hybrids with fertilizer. A checkerboard pattern is the best imo, and you just bury the fertilizer in the middle of four flowers with a golden shovel. Surrounding the four flowers with others will also promote more grown flowers.

Each day a maximum of 5 flowers can spawn in your town. These can be random ones in a random place, regular ones near flower patches, or hybrid ones. Burying a fertilizer bag will force a new flower to spawn somewhere near it. Burying them to close to one another will only result in 1 new (hybrid)flower so make sure you have decent space between your fertilizers and flower patches.

Remember that no more then 5 flowers can spawn so burying 6 fertilizers is nonsense. Only water 5 flower spots a day (preferably where you buried the fertilizer) to have a bigger chance of them spawning a flower, which possibly could be a hybrid.

I don't know how big the area is that fertilizer works on. It's not 1x1. It might be 3x3 but can also be 5x5 which is similar to how bamboo spawns.
