Feng Shui questions - Haven't found answers elsewhere

Hi guys!
I'm trying to "feng shui" my house and I don't see anything changing with my luck. I put the yellow items to the left, the red to the right and the green at the bottom and yes I do know about the overlapping colors and lucky items.

I must be doing something wrong. The room is not filled yet but how can it be since I'd have to block the entrance?
Does it really have to be the main room?!
Is it really worth it?

I would appreciate any help regarding the matter. Every guide I found was a "copy and paste" of the previous.
I need opinions from people with experience.

Can you reuse the same item? Let's say.. if I want to use 4 cancer table to hold my yellow items... would that work or just count as one?

yes. but more rooms = more luck.
Red increases luck of getting bells.
