-Do some spring cleaning. Sell off anything you don't use. I tend to sell reorderables and simply order them back when I plan to use them. I got myself down to a few pages of locker space doing that.
-Utilize museum exhibits for space. I keep all my Nintendo, Gulliver, and Gyroid items in there, with my 4th room being for spare art and villager pictures. Also anything I plan to sell. It really helps organize and keep your more valuable things somewhere where they won't kill space so much.
-Come up with a fun char name and home idea, then make a spare character. Some people like doing Campsites. Others upgrade and make hospitals or bakeries or arcades. So make it fun, but this is basically gonna be your pattern mule. I suggest only making two in order to save a spot for a "Scout" character for plot resets or general scouting for boxed animals in case of TT shenanigans.
*Note that you're gonna have to log onto this mule and talk to Sable once a day for awhile. You can speed this up by TTing day by day, but ensure you check for movers on your Mayor as well (unless you wanna chat with everyone on the mule). Use any cycling guide to know what to do/look out for in terms of move mechanics.
-Utilize your mules' storage. I use my mules to hold unorderables and have organized my sets onto them and such. If you don't wish to theme their homes (or only a few rooms), you can also use their homes for storage.
-Use your Basement for storage. Your Basement isn't scored by HHA, in case that matters. So if you're not using it for anything yet, you can just store things you don't wanna sell down there.
-Utilize letters. This is tedious af but if you're really desperate for space, you can store things in letters at the post office. Just make sure you remember what's what.
Above all just remember that most of the catalogue is reorderable, and cheap, so decide what is most worth your precious space. And if you haven't utilized any of the above, give it a try.
-Shrug- Welp I gave you a ton of info there so take what you will. But you're not gonna have more pattern space without additional characters unless you delete patterns off of your main.
Choose a path that takes 1 space, and surround it with bushes, trees or flowers.. and keep the clothes qr you wear and save the other ones in able sisters if your town is a mess put all your flowers on the beach, remove the paths and rebuild everything piece by piece, you dont have to finish it soon.. if you do everyday a bit you enjoy the game a longer time if you dont want another characters house you can make a character to build a patiserie or a gym and you still have the benefits of extra pattern space.. and like the other people said, do a big cleaning on your stuff.. you can try to sell everything in the re-tail section of this forum.. if you get anoyed you should quit the game for a while because the game should be fun.. I hope you find your joy in the game again...

There are a few single pattern paths out there! I was too lazy to talk to Sable on my mule, and I wanted the other pattern spots open for clothes. I wish I could link you to the exact one I used, but I forgot to save where it was from before resetting my town.
