Quoting limited to 5 levels deep
How do you know they'll never come to Virtual Console? The Wii still has a long life ahead of it. There are only a little over 500 titles available via Virtual Console so far, with more and more added every week. I'm sure 99% of everyone's favorite past games will be added eventually.
Licensing issues mostly, games that companies had rights to but lost, unpopularity, etc.

Good examples are Ninja Turtle games, Earthbound and Battletoads.
Things can always be sorted out. It may take time, but I'm sure we'll get most of what we want on Virtual Console eventually. Hopefully that includes Donkey Kong 64... I miss that game. =(
I don't see why DK 64 wouldn't be on VC eventually, since Nintendo does own the rights to DK characters, so hopefully, that'll be on there soon enough. I also really want Yoshi's Island.

And it may very well true that they'll work out the some some deals in the future, I'd be willing to pay a little extra for some titles, like Turtles in Time, I dunno we'll see.
It's because of the whole issue with Rare leaving Nintendo for Microsoft. Nintendo was able to put the Donkey Kong Country games, which were developed by Rare, on Virtual Console, but they don't contain lots of Rare references like Donkey Kong 64 does. There's a Golden Banana with the Rare logo that you can obtain, and even a playable version of Rare's first game ever, Jetpac. Unless Rare gives Nintendo permission, they'd have to take all the Rare stuff out before they could put it on Virtual Console.

Ah, that's true, and you need to beat Jetpac to beat the game, well hopefully, they can find a way to play it without having to butcher the game. =S

Yes, but there are already over 500 games available, with more added every week. Chances are most of what he wants to play is there.
Right, so he should use both. There are many classics that will never come on the VC.

One of the reasons why I want an FC twin. ^

Well, apparently the FC Twin doesn't even play Battletoads. =S As for Earthbound, the cartridge will cost you more than a modern game, so up to you if you think that it's worth it.

Yeah, you might want to look into the games you can't play on FC twin to see if you think it is worth buying or not.
