Before I got all my dream villagers had a very strange selection living in my town. I didn't like any of them so I used to do my best to have fun with it, making them look or sound ridiculous in some way. So Gigi would always say meow when she finished a sentence. Or diva would say baaa. I don't tend to change my villager catchphrases now though, although they're all using marshals phrase of sulky actually. Thanks marshal

I usually make my characters say things like shortcake, cupcake, muffin, honeycomb, sunflower etc.
I made Jaques once say Macaroon because it suited his French backgroud.
I also make Punchy say Cool Whip - purely because of that Family Guy episode.... Weirdly enough, it suits him.

I love it that Cherry calls me Lady Gaga.

My villagers in my Farm town call me farm girl.

In Joy, they say " My Queen".

Shep says "I'M BLIND".

The cutest thing ever is when Joey says " I wuv you " at the end of each sentence.

Also, Pudge says "What's that smell?". The first time he said it, I was offended, but then remembered that I made him say it. Lol.

I made Cheri say "dope ass" and now everyone else is saying it. I crack myself up when they talk among themselves, lol.

I made Alfonso say "nom-nom" and now half of my villagers are saying it. It's very funny imagining the situation, lol.

Most of my villagers' greetings and catchphrases relate to my Frederator Studios theme. Frederator is the studio that makes Adventure Time, Bravest Warriors, and Bee and Puppycat, so I have catchphrases and greetings like:

1. Catbug (from Bravest Warriors)
2. Bravest Warriors
3. Puppycat (from Bee and Puppycat)
4. Doubt the Worm (from the phrase "never doubt the worm" from Bravest Warriors)
5. Jake the dog (from Adventure Time)
6. Slammacow (from Adventure Time)

I like to change them up pretty often, too :p A few villagers are still transitioning from when I had gave them all food related greetings and catchphrases. So some of them are still saying "waffles" xD

Midge's greeting is "The solar system!" a Sherlock Holmes reference. Cranston's greeting is "Very clever, sir!" Hippeux's catchphrase is "I say!" I'm trying to give all of them Sherlock Holmes-themed greetings and catchphrases.

When your last name is Holmes...

I get mine to say things in Japanese like Chippu or Shika

Im gonna make Phoebe say "Ashes to Ashes" for her greeting and her catchphrase be "faux" (as a reference to Faux the Phoenix from Harry Potter)

Scorchin' and blazin' (for my fire based villagers Drago and Phoebe)
Doing seed (for Jacques because Jontron)
Purramid (for Ankha. I got it from someone else)
Honey bunny (for Francine and Chrissy)
Creux (French for 'hollow'. For Coco)
Plip (Usalia's catch phrase. For Coco again)
Banana Slamma (Greeting for Nana, my so far only monkey villager I ever had. From the Donkey Kong Country cartoon)
Hush puppy (for Goldie)
Trenggling (anteater family thing. For Anabelle)

Oh! That's so cool! I'm going to use those, too!

Goldie's name in the japanese version is Caramel so I chose that as her catchphrase in the english one :) shes so adorable !!

I usually keep them the same, but Fang's got instantly changed to 'Om nom nom' which still makes me smile!
Oh alsoc my Flurry's greeting is 'Good morrow' :)

I made Marshall so he would say 'Babe' because at first I thought it would be hilarious, and now I feel like its half flattering and half creepy getting hit on by a virtual squirrel...

Everything I write is either something that sounds odd within the context, making them appear as if they are something else, or something that's just downright dirty.

Haha, Lopez says the same thing in my town. It suits him I think, because he's totally that one guy that's overly friendly but stays this side of creepy.

I'm REALLY BAD at coming up with catchphrases/greetings! I think my favorite right now is Camofrog saying "I hate you," so on the rare occasion where I do talk to him I can say "I hate you too, Camofrog." Oh, I had Hugh say "I blew it," at one point. Sorta clever pun?
