Pokémon Favorite starter for Ruby/Sapphire?

I have the special demo code and I'm stuck on which starter I like the most.

I love Treecko's design but grass types have weaknesses a plenty.

I have had a Torchic before but let's be honest here, how many fire/fighting starters do we need?

I like Mudkip but I don't like the looks of the final evolution and I have Sapphire so water all around I presume.

Which starter do you like the most?

Torchic is my favorite, and I picked Torchic as my starter when I played Ruby. I think for Sapphire I'm going to go with Mudkip because I really like Swampert's mega evolution.

I'm gonna go with the unpopular choice and say Treecko. I just love the little guy. I've especially loved the Treecko line since Mystery Dungeon, where Grovyle is amazing. Plus, Mudkip seems to be the popular choice. All these Swamperts will have an x4 weakness to Grass, so they won't know what hit 'em.

I don't like the look of swampert at all and I already have a torchic and its megastone from Pokemon X so I'm going to pick treecko. Treecko looks really cool and I like the mega

Yeah, Mega Sceptile looks awesome. The typing bothers me though. x4 weakness to Ice? No thanks, I'll keep my normal Sceptile.

i love treecko so much i used it back in the days of sapphire. but when i played through the demo, for some reason, idk mayb i'm just bad at pokemon. that freakin glalie at the end of the main demo killed my sceptile like 4 times before i could catch it. at least when i start the new game i can have a tough glalie with a swear name :'))) i hate him
because of that you would think i'll choose torchic or mudkip
but i'm not really a fan of either of their final evolutions, so i'll be sticking with the treecko c:

By the way, your choice of starter in the demo version doesn't have any effect on the actual game so you don't need to be that careful with deciding. Plus, after you finish the main part of the demo, you will be given all the other starters too so you can try them out.

Ah okay, just making sure. I know I took a while to decide on my starter when I played the demo thinking I would be locked into that choice and it seemed like you were thinking the same thing judging by the original post.
