Favorite Sets to mix together?

So guys, I've been mixing sets together a bunch lately, and it just looks so much better to mix them, imo.

Right now I have;
Sloppy/Weeding Day
Lovely/Mermaid
Rococo/Princess
Sweets/Modern Wood

What are you guys working with in your houses?

This should be interesting! I love seeing interesting and pretty mixes. Loved the pictures that were posted in your thread about the sloppy set. They were just amazing..!

Anyway, here are some mixes I've used in my own houses.



I really like mixing the rococo and cardboard sets. This is my mayor's basement and it was supposed to be some sort of antique dump.


This is my mayor's house too. Mixed customized classic and green sets. Probably not the best pic to show what I did but it's the best I got.


Here's a mix where I put together pieces of the weeding day set, insect set and customized cabana set. It's still a wip but thought I'd post!

That's all the pictures I have for now. But here are some other mixes I've used/plan on using:

Pav? & (customized) cabana
gorgeous & mush

In the main room of my house, I've mixed the Polka Dot set with all the fruit-themed furniture (and customized a lot of the Polka-Dot set with fruit shirts.)

In the kitchen, I've mingled the Green set with the Modern Wood set, which actually looks quite nice, in my opinion!

A side room has both Minimalist and Blue pieces, which also fits well.

I think the exotic series refurbished in black and red looks great with the gorgeous collection. They compliment each other. The red and black are so much bolder in the exotic refinished, it helps calm down the carpet from the gorgeous set which is very busy and can take over the whole room.

Seeing Agnes' house showed me that the lovely and sleek series go nicely together, I'm sure even more so if you customize the lovely items in black.

Ooh I like the idea of mixing Mermaid with lovely but with ruby ore refurbish. I might try that. Not sure princess would go with my current Rococo as I made it gothic black hmm.
Also like the red and black exotic idea- I'llhave to check that out.
I think people who have that talent to mix furniture sets are great but I haven't discovered anything yet- matching just the set is too vanilla (as Gracie would say). Thanks for the inspiration all!

Absolutely love the idea of Cardboard and Rococo together! It's so unique and pretty!

I love these ideas everyone has!

I'm wanting to mix more things together, and I might do a gothic black rococo with the black sleek.
I have two characters in my town right now, so I'm doing all I can with them. ~

So far my sloppy/weeding day room is my favorite!

I'm also thinking of doing a regal/minimalist.

Cabana and kitchen mixes into a very nice resort room! You can even add plants and stuff~ :3

Ice set and princess set also looks nice.

Campus and Sloppy
Mermaid with Polka and / or Blue (both sets refurbished with sapphire) *really love this combo
