favorite pokemon generation?

Gen 4. I love Diamond and Pearl's atmosphere. The graphics and especially music win me over. The sound effects kinda remind me of fluffy clouds, I love it. I like a lot of the Pokemon in Sinnoh, both new and old. It's a shame that these games seem to receive the most hate.

80s anime is cool
Gen V.
Black and White 2 improved so much from the past games, that I'm actually really sad that many people missed out on it.
Personally it had some of the best Pokemon,the best post game out of the entire series, and great characters.

generation 4 is one of my least favorites, with gen 6 as the lowest. it was probably because i didn't really look online and stuff. i played r/s/e because my brother had it and then when i got a ds i decided to get a pokemon game. that was when i started to get into the series more though.

Gen III was my favorite by far. That's the one I started with, so I have a soft spot for it. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am for OR/AS!

gen 4, since it was the first gen I played. Also the music was lovely, and I loved the storyline.
I hate the gen 6 music.
I hate the gen 6 music.
i'm the opposite, i like gen 6 music (hate the storyline tho) but disliked gen 4 music.
Gen 3 - best designed map, best music, best Pokemon design, best bad guy teams
Least favorite- Gen 5 - only 18 routes, 140 out of 156 Pokemon are generic/badly designed/easily forgotten, poor graphics, half of soundtrack was bad, bag not as organized as gen 4

Gen 6 music has no variety in my opinion... They re-use the same music everywhere and it just gets annoying.
Just my opinion though.

yeah that is true. generation 5 is my absolute favorite in music.
5 for plot and my favorite battle theme, 1 for exploits, 2 for nostalgia and best overall new designs
3 and 4 outside of battle-related improvements (abilities/nature+many more held items for gen3 and phys/special overhaul for moves in gen4) I didn't much care for
actually I kinda really hate gen3, ruby/sapphire are pretty trash imo
I'm still getting ORAS, but **** gen3 forever
havent played any gen6 yet, so no opinions on them

For me; it's definitely a tie between Generation 5, 3, and 2.
Seriously though, generation 5 gets so much undeserved hate....It really is a great game; B(2)/W(2) had the best storyline IMO, and the coolest starters (( smugperior, samuraiwott, and baconboar. Best. Starters. Ever...To me. )) Also, the music was good too; but it can never defeat the infinite trumpets of Hoenn. Gen 3 brought a lot of great things; secret bases, Fortree City, the HM Dive, Steven, Pokemon Contests, Mudkipz and the OP Blaziken, Double battles....Not Luvdisk. Just. Not Luvdisk. Gen 2 had such catchy songs; and it brought me many, MANY memories, like facing Lance (( AND REDDDDD )), traveling back to Kanto, Catching Suicune (( one of my favourite legendaries of all time~ )), kicking Silver's butt, and last but not least, WHITNEY'S MILTANK.
Don't get me wrong; I love all generations, but I think that these ones appeal to me the most. By the way, am I the only one who likes Wallace??

Oh gosh I have stuff I like about each generation hnggg. Well my favorite is gen 3 bc Emerald was my first game. Also tRUMPETS YESS! And it just had so much cool stuff like contests and diving and secret bases and it definitely had the coolest map with Fortree city in the trees and Lavaridge with its hot springs. Not to mention I loved the feuding teams thing.
I really like the music again in 4 and I enjoyed the plot a lot actually. I also liked the new GTS feature of course and the way the contests were held.
Then I also like 2 because it has my all time favorite rival. Oh Silver~ what a character. That dumb tsundere jerk butt...
I like the plot again in 5, but I didn't really enjoy the map. It felt too urban for my liking personally.
6 is okay. I miss contests though but Pokemon Amie really made me love it a lot. Plus trainer customization. I liked having multiple friends but the plot was kind of lacking :/
