Favorite piece of art in the museum?

I don't have the full museum yet, but so far, my favorite is the Rooster and Hen with Hydrangeas (detailed painting), and I love the Asian art section in general. Both times we went to Japan, we spent a lot of time going to museums (the Tokyo National Museum is probably my favorite museum, period), so it's nice to have part of that at home, in a way.
I don't have a full museum yet either. I love the Tokyo National Museum! I learned so much there when I visited Japan too! Also love your avatar. Stardew Valley rocks. haha
Isle of the dead (mysterious painting) is one of my favourite paintings in real life, so I love that one. I also like the asian section in general.

I don't know all of the art in NH off the top of my head, but I'll always love Great Wave off Kanagawa. I love the sense of balance as well as the color choices. I actually have that piece on the wall here in my dorm.
I also really love Rooster and Hen with Hydrangeas, as someone above mentioned. very nice use of colors and balance. I also love hydrangeas in general so that makes it easier for me to appreciate.

that’s one of my favorites too! I bought an extra copy of the mysterious painting to keep in my reps house. I also really like the sinking painting and named my second character Ophelia after it.
I love many artists that they have but since in RL my favorite painting is "the birth of Venus " by Botticelli , ill have to def vote for that one as my favorite. Bu i could list you many which i very much like !!

I love how serene the Asian section of the art gallery is. As for individual pieces, I love the Isle of the Dead (Mysterious painting), Sunflowers (Flowery painting), and The Fighting Temeraire (Glowing painting), as well as the King Kamehameha I (Great statue - it's so majestic to look at!) I really miss going to art galleries, but I suppose our Museum will do for the time being, especially as it fills up. xD
Yeah i loved going to art galleries and Aquariums in RL and i have also stopped doing that hehe so I def agree with you that our museum is ( of course cant compete to many museums of the world ) but its a good substitute for now
. Although now with out joking around, for a game, the museum in ACNH is absolutely stunning and i am hoping and like in a very long coming future like long it'll be upgraded and made bigger with also new species

I completely agree with you! Going to the art and fish sections actually remind me of very specific memories from last year, when I spent hours wandering an art gallery with a college friend and exploring an aquarium with my S/O after work (and he drove out a couple hours just to take me there). As much as I shake my fist at Redd sometimes, I would love to collect more new pieces from him in the future. Starry Night is my favorite painting irl!! I love it so much I bought a second copy when Redd brought it a second time just so I could hang it in my house.
Right?! I love it so much. I also think it's great that all the Impressionist paintings are together, etc.

The Statue of David always makes me laugh because I'm immature as hell.
Like the other pieces are beautiful but David is SPECIAL.
Also when I was 8 we were walking by a replica of the statue of David and my Dad's cousin frantically covered my eyes with her hands and my parents were like chill, its art. And she was SCANDALIZED.

I really like the Jolly painting and Mysterious painting. I feel like I should've learned about Giuseppe Arcimboldo in school but never did. His paintings are so fun and odd at the same time. Then with the isle of the dead, it's a very strange environment but it just pulls me in.
I'm also a little bummed I never learned about any of the Japanese paintings. I took as many art history courses as possible but I never found one covering Japanese art.

lol nice. It's quite majestic in person, though that you appreciate the nudity. But it's a great sculpture

Hard to narrow it down because there's so many good ones.
For paintings, I have to go with the Dynamic Painting (from Hokusai's "36 Views of Mount Fuji"). I love the art style in all those paintings. The Detailed Painting is also really pretty.
I also like how they included the Rosetta Stone because of how useful that was to understanding the ancient Egyptian language.
