Favorite music genre

Brass Rock (because I love wind instruments xD), Classic Soul/R&B, Soft Rock/General Oldies, Folk (Especially British/Traditional), Progressive Rock, and various genres of Classical (Baroque, Classic, Impressionist, Early Music).

The vast majority of the Pop/Rock I mentioned above that I listen to is from the 60s/70s, but I like some music from my generation, I promise. lol I'm no elitist, I just like the instrumentations used in the 60s/70s.

anything with heavy drums.
And indie rock because Im a ****ing grade-a douche bag.

Though I literally like just about every genre.
Cept Volacoid.
Dear god do I hate volacoid.

Alternative/80's in general/Electronic/Dance/Remixes

I would add more to it but then it would go on a bit. ^_^;

I like most kinds of music excluding country but some of my favourites are Alternative and good Jazz like Snarky Puppy

I like video game and anime ost and piano. :)

Folk Metal, Pagan Folk, and quite a few Swedish Metal bands.

I mostly gravitate to Jazz Piano, Folk-Rock, and 90s Alternative.

But I have like 'mood genres' that run their phases. Mostly whatever creates a good atmosphere determines if I'll like a song or not. So it's hard to say what genre I like the most lolz

Oooh this is hard to say. I have kind of an eclectic music taste, but mostly indie or alternative. I like 1st wave where they combine rock and electronic. Some of my favorite bands are the B-52s, The Strokes, and St. Vincent. But I do listen to other genres, though.

Alternative, any kind of rock, anything featuring guitars

Actually I can enjoy all kinds of different stuff, except country, funk, and acid jazz. Those I can't handle.

I think that's closer to the truth of what I like.

Interesting responses. Not gonna lie, I haven't heard of a lot of these genres before haha. Not many people like hip hop either iy seems

Dark cabaret, darkwave, industrial, goth rock, death rock, the cybergoth associated genres like aggrotech, synthpop, etc; psychobilly, horror punk, dark ambient, no wave, some gothic metal, some post-punk, ska, jazz, folk punk, pop punk (as in pre-90s revival, like Descendents) and just the punk umbrella in general including the riot grrl movement (love Bratmobile), emo (Sunny Day Real Estate, Brand New variety), the growing steam punk oriented stuff (Steam Powered Giraffe), performance oriented stuff (Evelyn Evelyn, Emilie Autumn) and still have a soft spot for nerdcore and have been trying to get into industrial hip-hop and other "indie" oriented things more.

I don't shut myself off from other things, (I'm always going through new genres every couple months just to try appreciate everything if nothing else) but in my 22 years of existence they're my def favorites.
