I know this will probably be unobserved because of the new Nintendo announcement, but what is your favorite Zelda game? I was having an argument with a few people on facebook, and I personally believe it is Wind Waker. Here's is why.
First off, the graphics. The graphics on Wind Waker are a matter of opinion but they are very cartoony, as most people would point out. They are very unique and was a good change from the rest of the Zelda games. The way bombs exploded made you want to keep blowing them up over and over!
Second, the combat. The combat, in my opinion, was waaaay better than Ocarina of Times' because of the way you could move around and attack compared to the way enemies did was very balanced instead of you have to wait and hit when the enemy was off his guard (the werewolf at the Forest temple) in OoT.
Third is the gameplay itself. It introduces many cool features like the actual Wind Waker (item) itself. No other game had this kind of feature and it was very unique and fun to figure out. Next is the exploration. The exploration in this game is amazing because you actually don't know where you're going to end up being. Along the way to your destinations you can find cool islands, travelling salesmen, enemy rafts, and even watchtowers, huge squid, and a big wind guy who messes you up bad. There was so much too it, it can't be beat. OoT and Twilight Princess both had a lot of continuous running back and forth, and so on. There wasn't much interesting along the way to your next generation except for maybe a fairy cave.
And also, the plot itself, the Zelda actually being the pirate you first met in the beginning of the game, and the underwater palace. The boss fights are all fun and equally challenging as well. There is no better than WW.
