I was just wondering what the rest of you like to do out on the island for medals. I know there is good fishing and bug hunting as well if you're after bells. As for myself, I like the free-diving the best.
I love free-diving as well! I think diving is a lot more satisfying than fishing/hunting. I beetle hunt once a day but sometimes I get kinda tired of it tbh. I like the cute evening tours, like the firefly one and shark battle! I think the 'nighttime' tour music is really cute and soft. I also really like the flower-gathering tour.
The elite Ore hunting and Gardening tours (If that's what they are called)... Also Tuna Kahuna... Other than that I just like doing a late night bug/shark haul
my fav tours are the ore hunting, hammer, some bug catching, and gardening tours :> they're a lot of fun and usually not too hard haha ^^ with some of them (like the hide and seek, fossil ones, diving ones and labyrinth one) i just fail awfully every time so i don't like those ones )x
also, i don't do this a lot, but it's a lot of fun to go to club tortimer and play tours with nice people ^^ you get more medals for every tour too i think
Had to be the elite treasure hunt just for how many medals you can get and how Easy the activity is after you've done it a few times.
They all get a bit repetitive to me after a while though. I do love the elite bug hunting as well, especially if I'm playing with somebody else
Every time the scavenger hunt comes up in the tours, I will usually do that one repeatedly in one sitting until I have a good chunk of medals. I hate going to the island, seeing something I want and realizing I have to play games I can only win 5 medals at a time with.
The Elite Scavenger Hunt. If you win, you get 16 medals. With a little practice you can easily beat the time of 4 minutes to get gold. (I can usually do it in 3mins 15 sec or less, have even gotten under 2 minutes sometimes.) And 4 minutes is very short compared to some tours so you can get a LOT of medals in a short time.
Once you've done it several times you know the room layouts and where each item is. There are only 8 rooms that are rotated through. And there's only 1 item from your list in each room.
If you want to study the room layout, there's a great resource online at this page:
