Favorite Character 1: Sonic the Hedgehog Edition!

Yo! I want to try something new out, and have a series of topics asking people what their favorite characters in a selected series is. It gives us a chance for us to all be fanboys/fangirls for our favorite games and characters and gives us a chance to find out who is the most like character in each series.

This topic will ask you to do three things, name your favorite character in their respective series, say why, and have you vote for the the next series you want to see in the next thread, the popular vote wins! Also each topic will be closed after a few days to avoid clutter in case this idea takes off. It goes like this

Anywho, my answer!

Character: Knuckles the Echidna

Why: I like Knuckles most due mostly to the game Sonic & Knuckles, he offered a completely new way to play the Sonic games that completely changed it around. Also the fact he can glide and climb walls is pretty freaking sweet.

Vote: I won't be voting in these topics as I wanted to leave all the series choices up to you guys.

Character: Miles Tails Prower (I think that's how you spell it)

Why: He's always been my favourite Character since I was little, I've always liked the way he flies with his tails and how smart he is. He also makes a good sidekick.

Why: Like the JJ, I've always loved Tails, ever since I was tiny! The Genesis was the first system that was really mineee, so I'm a bit biased towards it and the games I had for it. I always loved playing Sonic 2 as Tails, and hovering above the water, my brother clinging on for dear life, and dropping him... >___> I mean! *Cough* Plus he's adorable! And he loves to tinker with things. Yeah, he can get annoying in some games, but he was good in Sonic Chronicles! Anyways, I'm gonna stop myself from rambling and just finish by saying I love Tails, always have, always will!

Why: I started Sonic when I was about 8, and I liked Tails the most because I related to him most at the time. He was even the same age as me back then. He still remains my favorite to this day.

Mario series would include Paper Mario and his various RPGs, basically I count any game that stars the character as part of the series. Speaking of Mario looks like he's definitely going to be the next one.

But that would make this "Favorite Character" polls go by a lot faster, wouldn't it?

That is true, having thought about it, I think I will have series that aren't story heavy represented by the entire series I.E. Mario platformers, Sonic games and Mega Man games. While story heavy games like Zelda, Final Fantasy and Mario RPG's can be represented by a single game, I think that will make it easier for people to choose favorite characters in story heavy games. I think having this poll justifies Sonic's whole series and having people pick what they want, so there won't be anymore Sonic.

Since Mario is likely to win the poll this time, I will just have the next poll be on Mario platformers and have some of his RPG games on a later date, and next time have people vote for a game they want and make the topics according to that.
