Favorite and least favorite npc visitor?

My favorite visitors are Celeste and Leif. My least favorites are Label and CJ. Label because her tasks are incredibly tedious and the payoff isn't worth it. I wish she stayed at Ables, but I understand why Nintendo wanted her to have character growth and make it on her own.

And I really dislike CJ because of his annoying dialogue and obnoxious photo flashes with his phone. His fish models aren't as good as Flick's bug models too IMO. <_<

Favorite is probably Redd, followed by Leif. Redd is the most useful, and Leif is the cutest.

Least favorite is Kicks, followed by Gulliver/Gullivarrr. Kicks is the least useful, and Gulliver/Gullivarrr are annoying to do stuff for (but sometimes you do get a cool item at least).

My favorite is probably either Celeste or Redd! My least favorite might be Sahara, but that's really only because I haven't fully started decorating my house yet so I don't have much use for flooring, wallpapers, or rugs at the moment.

My fave is Celeste because she’s cute and her DIYs are one of the bests in this game IMO. My least faves are Labelle and Wisp. I feel like they don’t really add much to the gameplay and I don’t have any motivations to do their quests because I don’t care for their rewards and they don’t have Nook Mile Achievements stamps either so I don’t really bother with them. I think I did Wisp quest once and never bothered with him again.

I like Label and am glad she took up fashion checks this game from Gracie - sad Gracie has nothing to do, of course, but I’ve loved the character arc with the Able Sisters across the games, and it’s so nice seeing her warm up to you and start off so much happier than she was even in New Leaf. (Sable’s dialogue about her changes the more fashion checks you do, too, which is cute.) And I do like some of her designs - the dresses are simple but cute, and I wear the sneakers a lot. Unfortunately, there’s just not enough variation in her options - I went through everything she has a while ago. At least the tailor’s tickets are nice.

CJ’s challenges are just interesting enough, and his personality’s genuinely hilarious, that I don’t mind when I decide to do them for him, but a lot of days I just ignore him and Flick if I don’t have anything for a model.

No, my least favorite? Is actually Redd. Not because his wares are bad or I dislike seeing he’s here - the art minigame is a longstanding thing and I genuinely appreciate the off-island color variants - but because I hold grudges for a long, LONG time.

Such as since approximately 2014-2015 when I tailed off in my first New Leaf Town and still had about three paintings to go, because certain scammer foxes never brought a legitimate solemn painting. It’s a new game, my island’s chugging along happily, and guess what I still don’t have? So I have a kaiju statue and a cannon aimed directly at the secret beach among other not-remotely-subtle threats. It’s his PERSONALITY I hate. And oh, how I hate him.

There was a densle animation where the main character was collecting artwork, and thought he saw redd’s ship in the distance, and then Sahara walked through a bush and said “You looking for some carpets?” And he looks back at the far off water and redds ship is gone, and Sahara is like “Don’t be sad, I’ll be here all week.”

If Sahara had less long and annoying dialogue, she'd probably be my favourite because I like getting rugs. If Label was a bit more fussy and rude like Gracie, I would enjoy her more, but her fashion check is so basic in comparison. I suppose the NPC who irritates me the least is Celeste, though she barely does anything.

As for my least favourite - Gulliver/Gullivarrr. I stopped bothering with his ish ages ago. Let the tide take him.

Favorites are Leif and Celeste! Celeste has been my fave NPC for years but I also love her DIYs in this game in particular. Plus, she looks so cute when she sees shooting stars aaaa. Leif has also been one of my faves bc he's just so calm and sweet and I end up needing to constantly buy what he sells.

Least favorites are CJ and Label. I only keep clothing that I'm definitely going to wear so doing Label's fashion checks require way more effort than I feel like putting in, especially when I don't really like the rewards. I also never make fish models so CJ is just a waste of an NPC in my opinion. Him and Flick are cute though, I like them as characters.

Favorite is Redd. Since I don't have online, the two random items tend to help fill out my catalog.

Least favorite is Saharah, simply because I already have all the walls/floors from her, and I really hate having to constantly buy pointless duplicates just to get the last remaining rugs in my catalog. Plus, she has soooooo much dialogue for something so simple as buying a rug. It's nearly as long as Gulliv(a/e)r's!

If we're talking all NPCs in AC then Katie is my favorite, and I loathe CJ.
My favorite NH NPC is Celeste.

Katie is just super cute, and I like that she incentivized playing with other players.
Celeste is adorable, and gives the best rewards, also she brings meteor showers, I wish she still had her observatory.

CJ I can't stand him, everything about him I dislike from his model, and appearance, to his annoying dialogue, and infuriating actions.

My faves are Celeste and Katrina the latter of which I'm glad will be returning in the update.

Least fave is probably CJ for most of the same reasons that others have already mentioned.

I'm surprised Zipper hasn't been mentioned much... I don't mind him personally though.

My favorite by far is Celeste. The way she gazes up at the stars with those big 'ol adorable eyes is so sweet. I also like Labelle and Kicks.

C.J and flick have utility as moneymakers, but their designs and personalities don't appeal to me. Even still, Sahara is probably my least favorite. I didn't like the element of randomness in what she sold in previous games, and I'm still not a fan of her now.

CJ is my least favorite. I'd say my favorite is Celeste or the little turnip seller. I like how Celeste walks around at night, island can feel a bit lonely since I'm busy most of the day with school.

My opinions will probably change thanks to the upcoming update, but as of now:

Personality-wise
Label is probably my favorite. An NPC that has an actual friendship mechanic integrated? Sign me up! I liked how she slowly overcame her natural shyness and is now a friend that is so happy to see me. And the fact that this is also reflected on Sable's dialogue? Superb. It's funny to me how so many people ignore this trait, considering how much they complain about lack of development and whatever.

From there I also really like Redd, who has some nice dialogue about his fakes and is helped by being tied to a yearly event, Pascal and his varied deep takes about the world and Flick and C.J., who have their personalities shine through both their dialogue and actions, such as Flick making these big bug models (even including light on the firefly) but making only small fish models.

Honorable mentions to Celeste and her cool star signs dialogue and both Gulliver and Gullivarrr because the concept around them is just way too good.

Leif/Kicks/Saharah/Wisp/Daisy Mae are charming, but they are mostly standard "shopkeepers".

Usefulness-wise
It's a bit hard since all of them are useful on their own way, but I have a soft spot for the ones that offer a mini-quest. Doing a little errand is a nice break from the standard play, so Wisp, Gulliver, Label, Gullivarrr and C.J. are ahead on that regard.

On the other hand, their stock varies wildly. Wisp is probably one of the most useful as one of the only sources of color-variants and since he can be found weekly (and even more times), he's a bit ahead of the others. Redd has also color variants and the artwork, all fake/haunted/real is really nice, so he's up there. Flick and C.J. provide 160 unique furniture items exclusive to them and they are also excellent money-makers. Gulliver/Gullivarrr, Pascal and Celeste offer less items but they are pretty unique and very nice to collect 'em. Leif/Daisy Mae are useless most of the time, but they do provide very unique stock (bushes, turnips, etc.).

While they also offer many unique items, I think the stock of Label, Kicks and Saharah is the least useful as they are easily replaceable. I can't get all the nice backpacks from Kicks anywhere else, but I can get a cool Nook Inc. knapsack to scratch that itch. I won't have the pretty animated wallpapers from Saharah, but I can still get 300+ other options from the Cranny.


Excited to see if they have any change on the 2.0 update and also excited to meet the new visitors such as Katrina and Tortimer and the role as a visitor from Reese & Cyrus. It's very probable that the alpacas end up pretty high on both personality (thanks to the Wedding season) and usefulness (which in turn will make Wisp and Redd less useful).

My favourite are Celeste, Leif and Redd. I like Celeste the most because I enjoy the constellation/wishing star mechanics and her DIYs are very pretty. Leif because I like sloths in general, and he pays generously for weeds which is useful. And Redd because his music theme is very catchy, and I always find his dialogue about art funny.

My least favourite is Sahara because I don't like paying a lot of bells without knowing what I'll get.

My favorite NPC's are Celeste and Leif, Celeste for their love of astronomy which I also love. Leif I like cause of the plants and flowers, plus with the new crops coming. The also very cute and adorable

I like all of the NPC's though in their own ways. They are all unique and different

My least favorite NPC would probably be Label because she don't really have that much to do. I like her as a character though.

My favorite is Leif. I just like looking at him. He makes my plaza beautiful.

My least favorite is Label. I think I’ve only ever completed one of her challenge. If on the future, her fashion checks bring shop expansion, I might never know.
