Favored Bell Trading Method?

Currently my main town is being used as a means to acquire items, bells, and flowers for my side towns, but I am inevitably going to reset it - probably sooner rather than later. However, not including all the items I plan to save, I have a ridiculous amount of bells I'm pretty unwilling to use. I have access to two 3DS's so I can just trade on my own, but I'm curious to know which method might be the easiest to do- the drop bell, or retail method? I usually just drop bells in my towns, but I've never attempted to trade as many as I intend to.

I realize I can just earn bells the natural way, but I find I enjoy the game more knowing I have enough to accomplish what I want and also help out others if needed.

I did retail once and it took SO LONG. Since people tend to use that one a lot I thought I would too because I thought it was the best option but now I know I really prefer just dropping the bells. It seems like you have a lot of money though and if you plan on keeping your storage full retail may be the only option you have. They both have their pros and cons but IMO it all comes down to how much money you're transferring.

re-tail method makes things much easier if you're trading a very large amount of bells; the dropping would take forever

Put two houses next to each other with ABDs near the entrance of both of them and have one person use one house to take out the bells and drop them outside while the other picks them up and puts them in the ABD of the other house. You can see my signature for the set-up.

I use my spare town that doesn't have a lot of trees. Drop 10 million bells on the ground and get the player to pick up the bells.
I have 2 tents side by side with ABM inside.

Can you get someone to help you so it goes faster? I've done 100 million and it took awhile.
It might help to start moving bells each day so you don't have to do a lot in one day.

retail is easier if its like 5 or 6 million. (as long as seller is ok with fact the funds wont appear in their account from recycle shop until the next day)

more than that, youre gonna need extra ABDs like others mentioned...

I feel like it really depends on where the re-tail is. I was gonna trade once for a villager (10 million bells) and she wanted to do the re-tail method, but her re-tail was in the far south of the town so it took forever running back and forth to the train station XD

so i prefer dropping the bells. I pick up bells in my pocket and also store more in the letters!
