Fastest hybrid combination

good morning everyone! (everyone in europe i guess)

i'm kinda struggling with breeding hybrids, especially pink roses
is the combination pink rose x pink rose bad? i'm getting like 2 roses weekly (using fertilizer)
honestly i thought its the fastest way cause blue rose x blue rose gives me a hybrid almost everyday
the same as with pink roses goes for pink tulips (pink tulip x pink tulip is bad?)
should i go with red flower x white flower?

and is it true that you can not get a pink carnation using pink carnation x pink carnation and you must have white carnation x red carnation?

I had this sort of hypothesis that different hybrids grow better in different towns. I don't have any proof, though. o:

In my town, pink rose x pink rose = a million pink roses. I get maybe 4 or 5 every day, no fertilizer.
But black tulip x black tulip = one black tulip every three weeks. D:



Maybe red flower x white flower will work better than pink x pink in your town?

Hmm. I put 3 pink lilies on the beach and there was 5 (either they can breed or I just forgot I put 5)

i had literally the same theory based on the fact that people say breeding blue roses is hard sometimes (and its the easiest for me)! i guess i'll try red x white flower

It's easy for me to breed pink roses. Either combination works in my town, but I'm not sure which works faster. I don't have fertilizer, but I water them with a golden watering can. I also have carnations, and I don't think it's true that pink carnations cannot breed from two pink carnations, but I'm not sure, I just put all my carnations together and they are growing like crazy.

I don't use fertilizer on my pink roses. I generally save that for hybrids that are more challenging or require more work. But I water mine every day with my golden watering can. I also find that if I water all of my hybrids on the same day, only two or three will actually produce any kind of flower, and it's usually not the one I want, because Animal Crossing is annoying like that. If I only water my pink roses, though, then chances are, there'll be more pink roses there the next day. I dunno, that's just how it seems to work in my town.

I think you should experiment. There are multiple combinations for pink roses so you should try different combinations in the span of a month. For me:

Red + white = lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of pink roses.
Red + pink = 75% chance of red and 15% of pink.
white + pink = 90% chance of white and 10% chance of pink.
pink + pink (arguably the best in any situation) = loads and loads of pink and occasional red or white.
red + red = 50% chance red, 30% black, 20% pink.
etc.

So try the combinations I just listed as well as any you find. (You don't know, one of the less common combinations could work.)
Pink rose is one of my most common hybrids. If you went to my dream adress, you'd see this one area has a huge line of red and pink roses. Hope I helped!
