fruits not native to your town are worth 500 Bells each
(example:
your town fruit is cherry = 100 Bells
pear, oranges, peaches, apples = 500 bells )

100,000 bells / 500 bells ( one fruit ) = 200 (fruits )
200 ( fruits ) / 3 ( fruits per tree ) = about 67 (trees )

plant 67 trees of any fruit not native to your town fruit and gain 100,000 bells in about a week.
*bonus- adds to town satisfaction*

Fishing and bug hunting
*must have access to club tortimor island*
set date for July - august and time to about dusk ( for me its around 5 pm eastern time )
and head to the island
equip a net and fishing rod.

(sold at retail )

-whale shark = 13,000 bells
-shark = 15,000 bells
-hammerhead shark = 8,000 bells
-saw shark = 12,000 bells

MOST EXPENSIVE BUGS
(sold at retail )

-birdwing butterfly = 4,000 bells
-agrias butterfly = 3,000 bells
-scarab beetle = 6,000 bells
-giant stag = 10,000 bells
-rainbow stag = 8,000 bells
-golden stag = 12,000 bells
-horned elephant = 8,000 bells
-horned hercules = 12,000 bells
-goliath beetle = 6,000 bells
-cyclommatus stag = 8,000 bells​

keep track of the bugs and fish you catch
i like to write down the amount i have caught and add it up in the end.
most i have ever earned in one visit to the island was about 330,000 bells.

You don't have to set your ingame date for the island, the island is always in summer, also if you head there after nine PM you won't catch sunfish anymore so all your shark fins will be higher profit fish. Better to go later in the day than dusk. c:
