Fashion Check Question

Gracie is back in my town, and I completely forgot the last time she was (which was the first time in my new town) that you could do them all at once if you go back to the previous day! So now she's back, but I can't remember the exact way to do it? Do you TT to the next day after you've completed one check, and then TT back to the day before? Or do you TT back a day? I've done it before in an old town, but I can't remember now. :/

Also, the check I'm on right now is Modern, and it seems like there's not much choice for the Modern section of clothes, so I was wondering how many of the theme you need in your outfit? At the moment I only have enough to wear 3 modern things at once.

I think 3 modern items might be enough .. I've passed fashion tests with literally only 2 of the required theme items. Don't quote me on this, I'm not 100%!

You go back a day save quit then you go forward to the day you were on and she should be there.

It is VERY random when GracieGrace shows up but when Gracie does show up or you remember the date he/she was there before...

Go to the plaza/town tree and Gracie should be there.
Gracie is there ALL day long, beginning at 6 am until Midnight.
Get your theme.
Change your outfit.
Go back to Gracie and pass.
Save & Quit.
You might want to do a quick daily routine (to make sure no one is moving) before you change the time to re-load the day.
Change the time to 5:59 am the day she showed up, with Isabelle or the 3ds system clock.
Come out of your house and let it go to 6 am and you will come out of your house again.
Rinse and repeat.
Just do this over and over again until you pass all 4 Fashion Checks.
If she gives you a hard theme (modern), have a 2nd character go to her and get a different theme and pass it as them.

You only need to have spent at least 70k in TIY for Gracie to show up. Spend another 30k (100k total), pass Gracie's fashion check 4 times and at least a month has passed since you got TIY for the final store upgrade to happen. But if you do a little bit of TT (because of the Gracie's fashion checks) then it can be a little less than a month because each day you go back and forward counts towards the total of 30/31 days.

If you do this you can pass all of GracieGrace's fashion checks in the same day, but your turnips will SPOIL.

Modern is the hardest theme for everyone. 3 items should be enough as long as the other items you have on aren't all the same theme as each other and don't clash with modern.

You definitely only need three items, and it's best (if you only have three) to only mix one other non-clashing theme of clothes with it.

Thank you! The was very thorough! I've done my first one (technically my second check) with the Modern theme and passed. And I've just TTed back to the day before and then back to the next day and she's still there! My next theme is Cute and there looks to be much more choice for this one which is nice! And another one with no clashing themes.

I passed with only 3, and I wore two other items too. Luckily the Modern theme doesn't have any clashing themes, seeing as how there's much less choice on items.

Yeah I did the TTing this way. I'm glad it works this way, and not only doing the thing where you put the clock at 5:59am and wait until it goes over to the next day.

I think you only need 2 items from the check, pant and shirt, not really sure, but the number of items you are wearing only seems to affect the reward that you get from gracie, of the four in one occasion I only had 2 or 3 pieces of the theme and got only a ordable cloth, all the other I had 4 or more and got a gracie grace furniture series piece.

I hate Modern, Ornate, and Sports themes. But I buy all the clothes I can and catalog them and then order what she wants, making sure to check the list at Thonky to be sure I do not have any items I'm also wearing that would result in an automatic fail.
