Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time

I bought the game on Steam, played a little bit, and loved it, but I regret getting it on PC. Although it's nice to be able to play this at 120 fps, the game feels like a better fit for handhelds. I plan to repurchase it on the Switch 2 so I can take the game with me on the go.

I bought this game along with Mario Kart when I got my Switch 2. I love it so much so far. I actually have more hours in it than Mario Kart at the moment and I’m a big Mario Kart fan so I feel that says a lot. I loved the 3DS game so I’m glad we finally got a proper sequel (sorry but that mobile game didn’t count).
The life stories do pull you in, ie the tasks aren't strenuous and are pretty fun it's easy to see how you'd rack up the hours soon enough

I've started as paladin and not particularly far in but the battles aren't too complex and I feel this is what makes it enjoyable.

I haven't had much success with mario kart online, almost always coming 3rd or later, and the points are beginning to rack up slowly now only getting like 15 points for 2nd place. Seems hardly worth bothering I'll just finish the grand Prix etc in my own time

Thinking about buying ACNH again and starting a new island

The switch 2 has opened up a lot more fun despite being similar to the switch 1

I’m hoping to get this for Christmas. It looks really cute. How is it so far? Anything a beginner should know? I did read a little about there being lives or something that seems kinda like talent trees. Is it possible to complete all of the lives or are you limited?

Edit: Found this; sharing in case anyone else is considering getting it as well. game8 also has a helpful beginner’s guide here.

I'm most of the way through the main story and I'm not sure why I'm so mixed on the game. On a technical level it's a good, but I just haven't enjoyed it the same way I did with the original 3DS game. My only theory as to why is that I think I preferred the original game's shorter main story and the fact it didn't require switching between multiple lives to reach the credits.
