Fallout Series!

I like the escaped slave idea too. That opens up a huge amount of possibilities for story/side quests. Like going back and freeing everyone.

I wish they'd let us see SOMEWHERE outside of the United States. I don't care where, just somewhere outside of the United States. I personally would love to see the damage that China suffered.

This would be pretty neat. I too am curious what kind of fate the rest of the world suffered.

I mean, there's a little bit of information on the Fallout wiki about some other countries. Apparently, Canada is annexed by the U.S., Mexico is invaded by the U.S. Not much is really known...

Fallout is by far my favourite game series. I've clocked over 1000 hours on New Vegas over a few different Steam accounts.

The first Fallout game was pretty stellar. The combat was neat, and the writing was also great as well.

Fallout 2 didn't really bode well with me.

Fallout 3 was fun up until the Bethesda dullness started to set in. It had a nice atmosphere, but the writing wasn't all that great for a Fallout game. It was alright on Bethesda's merits, but didn't really match up with Interplay's writing. The DLCs were really neato however. Except for Mothership Zeta.
That was absolutely horrible.

Fallout: New Vegas was alright, but the gameplay still had its dull run of the mill FPS gameplay. The writing was better, but couldn't keep me interested enough to play through the game with its standard Bethesda gameplay again. The factions were a pretty neato addition though.

The music choices in Fallout 3 were excellent however.

So for Fallout 4, what do you think our character's little back story will be?

I could see them doing the vault dweller thing again, but I'm hoping for something different. lol

VAULT DWELLER pls. The backstory is terrifying- living in a enclosed space, forced to leave under dire circumstances, the point where your character opens the door & witnesses the damaged landscape of the planet, forging your destiny as a savior & outsider. *gasp* It's tradition; I hope Beth keeps it going.

FO III is more impressive than Skyrim, IMO. That VATS gameplay mechanic is truly amazing. I need to get my PC in order to run some mods. I regret purchasing New Vegas. I didn't like the setting & the story- I'll likely avoid Obsidian titles for a long time.

I liked New Vegas. But the world felt empty.

And if anything, Fallout 4 will probably end up using the Skyrim engine. So at least we'll know it'll look pretty and play well.
A return to the east coast would be nice too. The desert thing is boring.

Personally I loved the iron sights in Fallout New Vegas, VATS was just....ungodly op (at least in FO3) lol I love it when I'm fighting deathclaws but I try not to use it otherwise. I liked the story and sideline stories in New Vegas but the world was too empty. I want Obsidians story development with Beths world creation. I know that won't happen but hey, I can dream.

p.s. and don't get me started with how much I liked to customize my weapons and choose what ammo to use in New Vegas

I love the Fallout series. I recently finished playing New Vegas and all of the DLC, and I liked it even more than Fallout 3. I really liked Dead Money and Old World Blues.
